Good afternoon Ladies & Gents…

Today we are at The Valley (for a change) and have a home encounter with Sheffield United, who are having an on/off season so far, and currently sit in 16th spot, three places and three points above us having shown some good results lately winning seven of their last 10 league outings, after a disastrous start to the season which included a 0-1 loss to us back in September last year, but we have a real chance for us to complete the double this afternoon.

Asked about team update, Nathan didn't give too much away…"Bell’s injury looked far worse than it was, Clarke and Dykes have both trained, Lyndon came on against us before Christmas and has played games after that, so he's in good shape. Harry's in fantastic shape, We've got to be sensible, but we want them to figure pretty much instantly.", Jamie Shackleton and Chiedozie Ogbene are expected to miss out for the opposition.

We've clashed on 69 previous occasions, winning 22, the Blades 29 and the remaining 18 fixtures resulting in draws, our last meeting came at Bramall Lane in September 2025, when won 1-0 thanks to a late goal from Tanto Olaofe.

Team news…New signing Harry Clarke will make his Charlton debut at The Valley today against his former team.

Matty Godden has been named on the bench for the first time this season alongside Lyndon Dykes, who joined the Addicks on Thursday.

Kayne Ramsay returns from injury to start as Nathan Jones makes seven changes from the team that played Chelsea in the Emirates FA Cup last weekend.

Thomas Kaminski, Macaulay Gillesphey, Karoy Anderson, Joe Rankin-Costello and Harvey Knibbs also return to the starting XI.

James Bree, Ramsay, captain Lloyd Jones and Gillesphey and Clarke are likely to make up a back five of some sort in front of Kaminski.

Anderson, Rankin-Costello and Knibbs will play in a midfield three behind last weekend’s Player of the Match Miles Leaburn and Charlie Kelman.

Godden and Dykes are joined on the bench by Will Mannion, the returning Reece Burke, Conor Coventry, Luke Berry, Sonny Carey, Rob Apter and Tyreece Campbell.

Charlton: Kaminski; Bree, Ramsay, Jones (c), Gillesphey, Clarke; Anderson, Rankin-Costello, Knibbs; Leaburn, Kelman

Subs: Mannion, Burke, Coventry, Berry, Carey, Campbell, Apter, Godden, Dykes
