great excerpt and a nice recognition of the status of The Valley that we were the opening of this feature

would you mind sharing your picture of "Roger Daltrey" Airman, would love to see it

Great listen, love our famous old ground and its history.

Went to my first game at The Valley in February 1994, a 0-1 loss to Grimsby Town (Super Clive scored against us that day).

My grandad took my dad to his first game in 1968, a 1-1 draw with Hull City. They were in the Covered End but moved to the North East corner for the second half as my dad couldn’t see anything! After that, they always stood on the East Terrace. My grandad passed away in 1979, aged just 49. I never got to meet him.

My mum was also at The Who gig in 1976, so I am lucky enough to have the ticket stump.

Enjoyed that Rick. Felt like we only scratched the surface and could have gone on for hours, but Colin obviously knows his stuff too and fitting that we were the first Club in this new feature. Great picture too 👏🏻👏🏻

Nice little segment that, and great idea for an ongoing series.

Colin Murray is an excellent sports broadcaster - a true fan who understands the magic of the stories behind sports and the fan experience that draws so many people to teams outside the top flight.

We really do have a special home in the Valley.
