2025-26 CL Prediction League Week 22 Fixtures / Cup Replays
I keep reading about games being a 'free hit'. If Charlton's visit to our friends up the road is a 'free hit', this makes it a double free hit for Hopeful Harriet. A 2-0 win for Charlton would win her 6 points, 3 for Charlton winning 2-0, and 3 for Millwall losing 2-0. Conversely, Pessimist Pete gets 6 points if…no, let's even go there. Let's not start getting depressed this early in the week. After next weekend, 32 lucky competitors will be in the draw for the 3rd Round of the Prediction Knock-Out Cup, 32 competitors will be getting their second chance in the 2nd Round of the Johnstones Paint Prediction Cup, and 32 competitors will be drawn in the 1st Round of the Cup for 1st Round losers of both of the two other Cups. I was going to name this Cup for losers, the EFL Duffers Prediction Cup, but there's no point in having the power without utilising corruption. As I find myself in what might have been called the EFL Duffers Prediction Cup, I've decided to call it the CL Happiness Cup. Arguably, 32 lucky competitors who got knocked out in the 2nd Round of the Prediction Knock-Out won't get any more Cup games this season, but that's probably preferable to being in the Happiness Cup. Still, at least us 32 duffers can go around with a smile on our faces.
