    Important pre-match question…
Has Collins Sichenje been fed, watered, and ready to be unleashed tonight? ⚽️

I forsee a tight game.  Kelman and Dykes will be getting pelters from the QPR fans so hopefully that galvanises them.  But I hope that means QPR take their collective eyes off TC and Carey and they can cause a few problems

Rangers have a few injury problems (Poku, Chair, Dembele, Obikwu) but still have Kone and Paul Smyth (formerly of this parish) who both have scores to settle with us so will need close attention as will Rayan Kolli if he plays as he is especially dangerous on his day

and I hope Lloydy can pocket Kone again as he did so effectively last season.

Lots of injuries in the QPR team as mentioned. 3 of those are game changers so we have to take heart from that.

Its clear that we can give anyone a game when we are on it BUT that needs to be more consistent. January signings has gave us more balance so its time to show it!

I'd start Kelman & Dykes with Godden coming on then I would probably say Godden will be good to go as a starter in the next game. Rest of the team same to stay the same bar Leaburn if still injured.

    Charlton 2 - QPR 0 ( Kelman and Doc)

Our 3 crucial home games are nicely spaced - Friday, Wednesday then Tuesday - so no need to worry too much about tiredness, and keeping players fresh.

Hope we beat this lot after having such a bad away day at their place. Their away end is not good enough for L1 let alone the Championship. Love to see Kelman get one over them. Not sure we will. Could be tight but I think QPR will sneak it 2-1.

1-0 Charlton. Godden with the goal.

Gotta have a chant that involves a "Loadsabeans" hand gesture especially for the QPR fans, lol.

Would love to see Kelman and Dykes start together and rile up the QPR fans. A very tough game but if we're the best versions of ourselves we can win this.

If they have 2 players sent off, then we may win. If they 1 sent off we could win, but it's not certain, 11 vs 11.....a draw  (1-1 at least there'll be something to discuss)

is this a trick question as I'm currently stuck in town for another hour or so and the trains look fine at the moment?

    • Charlton have lost just one of their last 10 home league games against QPR (W6 D3), and have won each of the last three in a row without conceding.
    • Following their 3-1 win in August, QPR are looking to complete their first league double over Charlton since 2007-08.
    • Charlton have only failed to score in one of their last 24 home league games, netting in each of the last 11 since a 1-0 loss to Leicester in August.
    • QPR are winless in their last six away league games (D3 L3). After both scoring and conceding in the first four in this run, the last two have both finished 0-0.
    • Eight of Charlton’s nine league wins this season have been to nil – the Addicks have won just one of their 20 league games when conceding at least once this term (D7 L12).

Cant see Godden starting - just dont think he has the minutes in his legs. Miles on the bench at best so its a toss up between TC and Kelman to partner Dykes. I'd probably go Kelman and have TC as an option off the bench to use his pace against tired defenders. But happy with either.

Hopefully last week was the first step in us coming out of the free fall we found ourselves in. We have three winnable home games and winning a couple of them will be massive. We played QPR away just after they lost 7 - 1 to Coventry and we play them now just after they beat Coventry. Football being football, we will probably win! There was a focus after the away game on our poor performance but I think there was a terrible decision by the ref in which they should have had a player sent off at 1 - 1.
