Really good half only missing a goal. We've had our chances which is more than can sometimes be said  when we've had good halves before, but our failure to score is going to be a problem. QPR will not come out like that again in the second half just like Leicester didn't. Against Leicester we went in 2-0 up and could just weather the storm but here we still need to get a goal. If we play like we did after the first ten though then I think it will come. Dykes has been absolutely unplayable; winning every header in attack and finding a Charlton shirt with them, making clever passes and flicks, clearing the ball with defensive headers and even beat a player in a foot race which I didn't think could happen. Keep funneling him the ball and something will happen. Bell, Clarke, Chambers and Kelman look classy with their touch, Doc is terrorising their midfield and Coady can suddenly play a ball to get us behind the defence. Just play like that again second half and we should get the 3 points. I don't think QPR will let that half happen again though and we have to be ready to deal with it

Campbell on at some point in the second half to scare them, but we look decent value so far
Think Godden will get the nod before TC. Kelman looks a bit out of sorts I feel but could be the fact he hasn't played consistently last few games.

    I'd make no changes.

Need to make this count and get three points. Be a huge missed opportunity if we don’t.

Not to mention with two home games to come this would really set us up

Solid half with the best chances coming our way. I would be happy to just keep it tight and restrict them as much as poss.

Godden for Kelman early please, and TC for Chambers when he runs out of gas, but nothng else needed obviously.

    COYA!

Amazing what having 5 defenders all playing in their best positions can do.

    Good man

  • If we dont have our defensive injury problems this season, we're probably 5-8 places higher in the Division than where we are based off tonight.

kelman is great when he gets the ball to his feet but he's so passive otherwise

Good first half performance, a lot to be pleased about. We need to pull the Rangers back line out of position and stretch them. Nathan Jones knows he has the options on the bench, Matt Godden and Tyreece.

Mike Dean on Sky saying it should have been a straight red for Vale.

    Thoughts?

What's this random Connor Gallagher video on CAFCTV at half time all about then?

Think it probably was a red but Coady’s head was low so can see why the ref gives a yellow
  • Good half. We should be in front.

One bit of good play, or good old luck, will see us score.

Just hope Chambers can do the full 90 minutes today and doesn't have to come off. It makes so much difference having a proper left wing back out there

Really? - I thought a booking was the right decision, maybe the studs showing sways it ever so slightly
If Vale has deliberately kicked him in the head then yeah, but there was no malice

Not a red for me. Looking at the ball the whole time.

Was about to say the same. Also, given it was so early in the game I see why it was a yellow. It was a bad challenge though.

He obviously hasn’t seen us play much this season then because that’s definitely one our better first half’s.

I heard the next one lined up is a similar video on Nile John

We've been the better team, without exactly being on top. Jones will be pleased with low little we've given QPR.

I disagree. That would have been extremely harsh

I'd have been raging if we'd had a red given against us for that sort of challenge. It's an accident, Coady's head is low, it's a booking
  • 1st touch around the box could be better by Carey and Dykes? One bit of quality could win this. Hope it's us not them. Kelman will do it......
