    Brilliant actor . Such a shame he wasn’t in The Godfather III . His best performance was as LT. Colonel Gilmore in Apocalypse Now .

    Ah no, such an amazing actor.

    Been in some great films, but even in stuff like Deep Impact and Gone in 60 Seconds he outacted everyone.

    Wonderful actor and once in a film with Ally McCoist, which I doubt was his personal highlight.

    Never in a real bad film most were very watchable.

    His portrayal of Tom Hagen in the godfather films were incredible. A big reason why godfather 3 is no where near as good is because Coppola wouldn’t pay Duvall the same as Pacino (despite the fact they would’ve had the same screen time).

    Loved him as an actor, "napalm", etc.  

    My favourite film of his was True Confessions (with De Niro) where he plays the cop: A prostitute explains what playing "carnival" is to him - "it's where I sit on his face and he has to guess my weight"
