Pompey down our left and that's the final whistle.Final score Charlton 1 - 3 Portsmouth0

He was many things today but his effort shouldn't be questioned. Went in for the headed challenges he was accused of bottling earlier in the season and was constantly open but not found on the wing. On the ball he was poor but his effort was not poor or cowardlyIR94 said:TC effort has been a disgrace today, doesn't look bothered, cowardly.7 -
We didn't even need to win. All we needed to do was keep our heads screwed on, play sensibly, and not lose.
Perhaps the players were overconfident and thought Pompey would just roll over?3 -
Disgusting performance. Where's the fight?5

Yup. Genuinely think the ref just gave up at the end as he didn't want anymore controversy.DamoNorthStand said:That was a pen4 -
Only positive is we somehow got through that without a red card.7

More points dropped against a bottom 6 side. Rather undoes a lot of the good work from Leicester, QPR, and Stoke.
Disappointing, but not fatal.
On to the next one and hopefully less shooting ourselves in the foot there.4 -

Utter shite3

When James switched to a back four why not show us Collins - he is a central defender. Berry was useless0
-
I'm sure Nathan will lose it at the ref but for most of the game we looked miles off it, lots to of work to be done for Saturday2
-
We are a painfully one dimensional side.3

Disappointing setback... Always going to happen, we were never going to go the rest of the season undefeated, even after the promise we've shown the last three games before tonight - The opposition we've lost to is frustrating, along with the fact that it was at the Valley but thats how it goes. After Millwall we were never winning another game of Football ever again. Two challenging games coming up, still a lot of Football to be played until the end of the season, I remain convinced we wont truly be safe until the last few weeks of the season, maybe even the Swansea game.2

They did their homework - dived at EVERY opportunity to nullify our physical defensive style, got the ref onside early and then laugh all the way home.
I absolutely hate Charlton sometimes - consistent inability to deliver consistently.

I agree…zero footballing IQ…players like Coventry, Doc full of work but zero ability to play the killer pass or beat a olayer….sideways or lump it up….boring boring shitFumbluff said:Are there any stats to back up my surmise that this Charlton squad has the lowest collective IQ of any Charlton squad ever?1 -

This is what did it for us ultimately, we then lacked the flexibility or nous to deal with itmascot88 said:They did their homework - dived at EVERY opportunity to nullify our physical defensive style, got the ref onside early and then laugh all the way home.

Dismal. Really, really poor.2
-
Lack of quality rather than a lack of fight I thought, just look at all those yellow cards.AdTheAddicK said:Disgusting performance. Where's the fight?2 -
Just as we look to pull away from the quagmire... good old Charlton making it real!
Twats.2 -
At least more minutes in the legs for Luke Berry.12
