Jones banking on a TC or Carey wonder goal again.1
-
Ball bounced about an inch from Kaminski, I just can’t stand the bloke what’s he got over Jones.0

Clarke has got forward. Scuffed a cross very badly when he got a chance with it.Laddick01 said:2 months with Jones and Clarke and Chambers appear to have had all the attacking quality sucked out of them.
We looked half capable when they got forward. Jones has cleaely given the instruction not to tonight and we look like relegation fodder.
Nobody is really playing well.
NJ went for the “clean sheet and build from there strategy” (not a terrible idea when WBA are so poor in front of goal) but it’s gone now and we’ll need to change tactics for the second half.
Even Steve Brown on comms just said “I didn’t expect WBA to score tonight but they have”2 -
Well tbf most on here said we didn't need to win it. Perhaps NJ agrees.Cafctekkers said:Setting up to just try and not lose...AGAIN!1 -
Once again, we're relying on other teams to get us out of the shit, and tonight it's Wrexham, Middlesborough and Bristol City...🤦♂️0

That haven't won or even LED A GAME (until they PLAY US of course) in god knows how long.ValleyGary said:We got two wing backs that can deliver a good ball to two big CF; how many times have we worked the ball wide to get in a cross? Zero.
we just lump it and sit back 🤣
It’s fucking suicide football against a team 7 points below us.0 -
Get TC and Fev on and go 433, need to get at them - limping towards another really poor defeat currently2
-
Gotta hope TC has one of his inspired games.
Dykes off for me. Leaburn amd TC up top and push the bloody WB's up.
Docherty for JRC as we need to try and play some football.
I can't see us getting anything tonight and that's really worrying. I do think this is going right to the wire.1 -

We have been shite for months.
Two big blokes up front, lump the ball at them. Tactics are just so pathetic.3 -

We are a crock of shit. So lacking in flair it is embarrassing.1

We need a goal. Carey is about the only player in this team that has a goal in him.Valley11 said:Think I’d bring on JRC for Carey. Someone who can put their foot on the ball and get their head up to build some possession from midfield. No way would i take carey off. Just go 4-3-3. TC Dykes Miles up top. JRC (or carey) attacking mid, carey and coady behind. Clarke chambers full backs. Bell collins CB.0 -
Yeah I reckon Lloyd Jones would have dribbled it round the whole West Brom side and thumped one in from 30 yards if he was still on the pitch and the master plan would have come into effectDazzler21 said:
Nothing wrong with losing our best player and nothing wrong with a ref ignoring every foul on a red shirt but blowing for every tackle on a stripy shirt.Leuth said:Nothing wrong with the ref. Nothing to do with losing Jones, Collins looked like our best footballer when he came on. Everything to do with the terrible lineup and tactics
The players started brightly then slowly began to ease off. Do you think Jones is telling them not to attack?2 -
Performances against WBA in this half, Portsmouth x 2, and Norwich have been really disheartening.Without our brick wall at the back, I'm more than a little worried now.0

Not often I agree with you Golfie, but yep. If posters were willing to accept a 0-0 against a team 7 points below us, what games are they expecting us to win then?golfaddick said:

Truth is had Jones stayed on it would probably be 0-0 he is consistently out best defender after all.
The problem is it is hard to know what the game plan is now. Keep it tight until 70 and then put on a couple of forwards? Can't see us doing anything else, and hoping WBA wilt under a bit of pressure.2 -
That was a fantastic unmarked header what are you on about?Hartleypete said:Ball bounced about an inch from Kaminski, I just can’t stand the bloke what’s he got over Jones.1 -
We badly need some pace in the side. Too slow and ponderous1
-
Yeah Brownie says “NJ won’t want to see that half again” -we’ve been watching that half every week on repeat4
-
Once. Clarke ballooned the cross over to the far side and Leaburn got into a tussle over it and gave a free kick awayValleyGary said:We got two wing backs that can deliver a good ball to two big CF; how many times have we worked the ball wide to get in a cross? Zero.

Plan A, don't concede, has failed.
Is there a Plan B? Does it involve, heaven forbid, attacking and maybe, just maybe, having a shot at goal, on target and possibly scoring?
I try to keep positive about this team but, bugger me, they test my sodding patience.1 -
You can't blame Kaminiski for that goal.Hartleypete said:Ball bounced about an inch from Kaminski, I just can’t stand the bloke what’s he got over Jones.1 -
Yes I do actually ! I think he is telling them not to push forward and leave us short at the back ! It’s so obvious NJ set this up for a 0-0 or hope to nick it 0-1 by a mistake at the back or set piece.Dazzler21 said:

No TC in the little rondo on the pitch. It's the least intense rondo I've ever seen though0
-
I think Jones wanted us to play a very specific way tonight and get a lot of balls up to the big men up top, but we can't even play goofball right and so often they're isolated from eachother with no support. Need more runners from deep to make it work with the wing-backs pushing up or Carey and Docherty running up field to help sweep up the second balls2
-
Turning in these types of performances too frequently0
-
I'd like to see Berry on at HT. We need legs in the midfield10
-
A comatose first half performance blended with a hint of shambolic defending. Not a pretty watch.0

Sichenje looked good in the 15 mins he had I thought. The issue may become communication between himself, Ramsay and Bell but he’s showing he’s got the talent to fill that role.mendonca said:Performances against WBA in this half, Portsmouth x 2, and Norwich have been really disheartening.Without our brick wall at the back, I'm more than a little worried now.1 -
Which is a sod when the intended target was 10 yards away ...Exiled_Addick said:
