    RIP. A massive shock, as he only announced a couple of weeks ago a new Red Dwarf prequel novel.

    The first 6 series of Red Dwarf, which he co-wrote with Doug Naylor were wonderful.

    I enjoyed Red Dwarf as a teenager, both the books and the TV series.  The latter went on too long, but the first half dozen seasons were comedy gold.

    Found out the news about Rob this morning on here. Absolutely gutted, Red Dwarf was a huge part of my teenage years. Not many sitcoms made me laugh so often and so hard. Nice excuse to rewatch them.
