Not just them. There are a number of people in block D (and E?) who still have their seats but no longer use hospitality. It makes it tricky to sell (more) hospitality packages if the prime seat is not available to go with it.Pedro45 said:
I doubt i will move with the changes, as i like my aisle seat (between blocks e & f). It does sound like ill be looking over the top of the away dugout in second halves now though. It would seem that the s/t holders who will need to move are those near the front of e block...fenaddick said:
But the OP is saying he likes his seat because it's near the dug out, not because of the view. If OP's seat is no longer near the dug out then they won't be getting what they likesam3110 said:
From what I gather if anything you'll have a better view of the pitch as the away Dugout will be closer to the halfway line next seasonPedro45 said:I currently have a season ticket a few rows behind the away dug out. I like sitting there, as you get a close insight into how others teams set up, communicate, and manage.
I have not been contacted by the club re the changes. I do hope i do not have my viewing experience altered substantially, otherwise i will have to find a new seat...
Perhaps there is someone here that can confirm but I understand that people who used to be in the old Millennium Lounge before it was re-branded Club 1905 and now no longer buy hospitality are likely to be asked to move. My guess is that this would impact only the rear half of the block(s).
It's not just a "sweating the assets" thing. The Club feels there is too much chaos at half-time with people trying to go up to get to the lounge entrances for their half-time hot chocolate (other beverages are available) fighting against the tide of people trying to go down to get to the concourse outlets.
This is entirely speculative but I wonder if they are going to installed padded seats in these blocks and that would reduce the number of seats available? We're Block D, Row T, which is right next to the DB - in fact Curbs and I sit next to each other, separated by a narrow dwarf concrete wall. That's right at the very front of the DB so yes, I would imagine you are correct that it will only affect the top rows of the Lower West and we certainly haven't received any notification of moving. They are free to install padded seats for me though - for my 'farmers' alone!

Yeah, that always feels like a kick in the teeth doesn't it. (I'm having trouble understanding where all this extra hospitality business is coming from or where exactly the lounge is going to be.)bobmunro said:bobmunro said:cafcfan said:

They were trying to sell what we have now at the last minute - for the Chelsea game!0 -
So they are going to move the concrete wall to enlarge the directors enclosure and fit padded seats.0

I'd be surprised. Lots of PL hospitality is standard seats but with access to a lounge/bar, imagine this will be similarAlwaysneil said:So they are going to move the concrete wall to enlarge the directors enclosure and fit padded seats.0
