Personally I think we’re bang in trouble.  It’s only the other sides behind the iron curtain that keep us afloat.  We’re a joke going forward and we’ll inch over the line on the basis of other teams’ inability.

I can’t see where our next win is coming from.

As sad as it was for Burke, joke of a signing.  The highest paid player in the team, certainly one of them, and we’ve had a pathetic return of minutes.  Budget that could’ve been spent on a central midfielder for example.

Mate, the table doesn’t say we are ‘Bang in trouble’, we’ve work to do but I’d rather be where we are than West Brom and Leicester  and Oxford. Our performance deserved more today and shows we are in the fight and not just packing it in. Nothing fell for us today.
and where we are than Blackburn and Portsmouth.  They can’t all go in a winning run.

One of the best displays at home this season, felt like the Leicester game.

Which makes today more frustrating, we really have got to start putting away our chances  though.

    Really like him

WBA and Leicester are a mess to be fair, but out of the 11 games left, I genuinely can’t see where we get our victories from, which is why I think we’re at the mercy of the others’ inability to get a win.  The performance today was very encouraging, but as it stands we will need to win some games.  Oxford could be right bang up for it now they’ve given themselves a chance.  Sheff Wed are done but who’s to say they can’t take a point off us at least.  Then we’ve got Boro away, Ipswich and Hull at home, all in the mix.  Watford, Bristol City, Preston, Brum, Norwich toss a coin.

Swansea on the final day, hopefully be alright by then, but 7 home games versus 4, big, big finish needed

How do you sum that up .. we battered them , Wrexham are the worst team we seen this season but with a ref like that it don’t matter .. where do we start Clarke should have put us 1-0 up … there was a nasty foul on Bell who was left limping for a while after but no card .. there was one or two other  fouls  where no action was taken so it was no surprise when Coventry wins the ball and gets booked !!! Coventry never won the ball. Their bloke let the ball run and was past him, so he tripped him. He took one for the team and never complained. Then the goal Campbell gets fouled on the edge of their box nothing given suddenly Wrexham break and goal .. Campbell needs to be stronger in those situations and is sometimes too easily pushed off the ball. Maybe it was a foul, but there wasn't much in it. but second half the ref really went up a notch there were two clear pen one when the defence clearly punched the ball out of the box You mean the one where Dykes was given offside , yeah? And the replay proves he was offside - so anything from that point on is irrelevant. You do know that, right? and the foul on Clarke who was hacked down as he charged into the box Hacked down? Behave. They ran into each other. It would've been a soft pen if given - not the GBH you are suggesting… shocking decsions then our big moment lovely cross Campbell 3 yards out somehow heads over when easier to score ..it was one way traffic and in the last mins a shot through a crowded area from Carey hit the driving keepers arm somehow the ball went wide it was class save but very lucky Lucky? Now I know you must be taking the piss. It was a great save that denied us a deserved point. Sometimes you just have to give a smidgeon of credit to the opposition keeper.

No justice for the boys today deserved to take the 3 points not just one .. but I hope the ref enjoys his free American Holiday .
I've corrected your embarrassingly myopic comments above. No need to thank me.

The boys played well today and deserved something from the game. But your post is ridiculous. I know you seem to revel in your reputation as being a bit of a wally, but this is a bit much even for you.

You missed his comment about Wrexham being the worst team we've seen all season. We literally played West Brom on Tuesday!

Need to keep calm, I’m sure we will get points from games we don’t expect………. I hope!! We really were the better team today, we got turned over, no reason we can’t do the same to others.

Tuesday against West brom was fcking boring and we come away with a point. Today was enjoyable and pretty exciting and we looked like we were going to score and we come away with nothing. I clapped them all off at the end because we gave it a good go and kept the ball on the floor for large parts of the game. Ref and lino on the AC stand side were pony. Clarke my MOM.

Keiffer Moore was excellent, shielding the ball , laying it off , giving LJ a hard time , and moving along the front line.
His curved runs to avoid offside were superb.
Our forwards should all watch a playback of that performance and NJ to see how players move off the ball.
NJ seems to concentrate on defence, wonder why we don’t score?

  • Played well and deserved something out of the game but that's now 4 wins in 23 - which is half a seasons worth of games).

Collins absolutely excellent, really impressed me; more like him please going forwards.

Is there some kind of history between us and Rathbone that made him want to do that wanky little celebration in front of our fans?

Sadly they are on target for top 6, and the pitty is that Millwall will absolutely crush them in the play offs.

There was a big pre-match protest by the Leicester fans against the owners today. And I just saw a clip of the WBA fans abusing their players after the game today. They are two teams that are bang in trouble. I feel like we're showing enough to pick up the results we need. Both these teams need to find a huge turnaround from somewhere and the mood is very toxic.

We probably only need 2 wins and a couple draws. Assume we can beat Wednesday and we also should beat Oxford. Also probable that we win at least one of the ‘toss a coin’ lot.

Yes It’s tighter than we’d like but we should be ok.

Enjoyed the game, even though we lost!

You're always gonna pay for missing 3+ chances from right outside the 6-yard box.

Lloyd Jones and Sichenje were a joy to watch. I just couldn't feel the net ripple today as the finishing lacked calmness, guile, and poise.

Even if Rowett somehow makes Leicester more solid it feels like the atmosphere is so toxic there that it's an uphill battle for him . Think West Brom are staring relegation in the face , it's too late for a new manager bounce to really save things.

He just has no upper body strength and gets brushed aside far too easily, can prove tricky if he uses his pace right though...

I know we had no more subs, but I really hope telling Sichenje to carry on for 4 mins when he’d clearly done a hamstring doesn’t cost us.

    Really like him
    Think it was cramp...
I hope so but dont think so, he made a good run diwn the touchline whipped in a 30 yard cross and immediately felt the back of his leg, and signalled he needed to come off.

TC lazy player need to do more but tried a bit better today. He’s a very sulky player which you can’t afford to have at this level. Coventry ok but only knows sideways or back.  All round though Charlton should have secured at least a point we just don’t have that killer instinct. Maybe it will come I’m not betting on it but we looked better today. Come on you reds.

  • Frustrating afternoon from 1.45 when I saw Berry and Burke in the team to 5.00 when their keeper had pulled off a worldy and wasted half the second half on taking goal kicks

Please just get over the line and completely change our central midfield, theirs was a level apart

Please no more Berry Burke Kaminski or  any other Luton dross this season or next

    Starting to really dislike Wrexham

Disappointing as everyone has pointed out, doubly annoying that it was against a team that in previous years had an attendance of 2000, they will always be a little club, you end up in Wrexham if you're Sat nav breaks down, no other reason. Once again, we play them with a depleted squad but we were clearly the better side and deserved something from the game but Berry taking one extra touch and Clarke missing a chance my mum would have put in, gave them a reprieve, then we give them a goal and it becomes much harder a task. Some good performances and FA makes a good point about the change at the back having an effect and I have to say that having watched the Chuks Aneke circus for a good few years, the sight of another who cannot complete 90 mins, in Reece Burke, is particularly frustrating. Reece Burke is at the point of not being able to compete in professional football, and yet this club gave him a contract, in full knowledge of his problems, now try to get rid of him, chance would be a fine thing.

Was on the edge of the sofa, shouting and alarming the dog, in the last 15, which I haven't done for a while.

Furious at the end but a different kind of furious to after West Brom,  and after Portsmouth, which was off the scale furious.

I agree Sichenje looks like a really good investment. Brownie said after a while that his injury probably wasn't a hammy, because when you've done your hammy, it's gone. You can't play on. And I'm sure I'm not the only one who can confirm that from experience. So hopefully its cramp.

As for the officials. OK, they were not the reason we lost, but my God. How can it possibly be that we got two yellows and they got none? Especially when Ramsey's was barely deserved and he has to defend 78 mins on a yellow. Late on Carey was brought down with an elbow to the back as he headed for the line. The CTV team all agreed clear foul. Then there is a replay, from the West camera, and not only is it clear as day, but it is literally right in front of the lino. A lot of people say that linos rarely flag for fouls nowadays, but sometimes do. I wonder if the refs tell the linos before the game whether or not he wants them to spontaneously flag. If that's how it works we ought to bloody know! The replay clip of that Carey incident needs to be retrieved from Sky, and made public. It was that bad.

And a clear foul on TC allowed them to regain the ball and move forward for their goal. That ref is clearly one who spends a lot of time in front of the mirror in his refs kit. Yeah. Furious...

Very good performance, happy with that. Against an in form team, so much better offensively and still solid defensively didn’t really concede much meaningful threat

if we had played that way against West Brom I’m sure we would have won well

Continue to be impressed with dykes but needs a forward alongside him, TC just doesnt really work with him too remote

jones looked like a rolls Royce again despite Tuesday injury

    sichenje was delightful

we just need more attacking players in the squad - because most of our players are defensive our chances keep falling to defensive players - Clarke today again after his miss V Stoke, Coady the other week against qpr, Ramsay had a dangerous moment today… our wing backs are often our most offensive but we need a couple more cutting edge players , as ever it’s only really Carey who you ever get the ball and think “shoot” (or that he could fashion the space to shoot)

we’ll be fine if we keep playing like that

As much as some don’t want to read this, like chuks, it’s not Reece Burkes fault he’s made of glass, but the club (NJ) for giving the contract, Burke is a good guy and will no doubt be as frustrated as us, but he shouldn’t be getting any stick, it’s just unfortunate.
