2025-26 CL Prediction League Week 27 Results / Cup Qtr Final Results

Week 27 produced the highest scores of the season so far, coinciding with my decision to avoid all games with seemingly obvious scorelines. If you favour 2-1 home wins as the result of a football match, this was the week for you. Not only did all four Premier League games played on Sunday end 2-1, but four other games you could have chosen from lower divisions ended 2-1. I'll no doubt predict three 2-1 games next weekend, and no games will end with that scoreline. Top of the pops this week, with an outstanding 7 points were @MrWalker, @Kap10, @Coveredendchoir, @Covered End, @blackpool72 and @sholland. It only seems fair to give a mention to those scoring a point less, namely @Miserableoldgit, @LenGlover, @jose and @DyerConsequences, who all scored 6. In the Prediction Knock-Out Cup, there were some sensational results. Premier League leader @JustFloydRoad slipped to a 2-1 (that scoreline again) defeat to humble League Two side, @Swerve, while @Coveredendchoir smashed seven past @56yearsofdreams to ensure a Semi-Final place. Meanwhile, @meldrew66 v @WestSussexAddick and @Sillybilly v @Joshb2000 will battle out replays this coming weekend. In the Johnstones Paint Prediction Cup, @Kap10 knocked in 7 goals away to Premier League's @Taxi_Lad, while @Curbsgoldenera sealed a place in the semis with a 5-1 away win at fellow Premier League opponent, @timken. In the EFL Happiness Prediction Cup, there were four games, but does anyone really care about that Cup?. Suffice to say, @WHAddick, @Mendonca In Asdas and @Dansk_Red are in the semis. As for Charlton's 1-0 defeat to Wrexham, only @fattmatt could foresee that particular scoreline. Remember, every game is likely to end 2-1 next week, including Charlton v Brum, hopefully.

    Asking for a friend, is the Prediction Knock Out Cup the equivalent to the UEFA Champions League, meaning the Johnstone Paint Prediction Cup is the Europa League and EFL Happiness Prediction Cup is the other one noone cares about, unless you're in it?

It’s often compared by journalists to the FA Cup, but unlike the FA Cup, it has maintained its prestige into the 21st century. The Johnstones Paint Prediction Cup is more like the Simod Cup and Freight Rover Trophy. A few people might remember the winners but who contested the semi-finals is for the geeks to remember at quiz nights. As for the EFL Happiness Prediction Cup, it has no real equivalent. It’s something that takes place but no one really cares what happens on pitch 72 on Hackney Marshes where the final is contested.
