    Mengi or Pye  ?
We’re not going to get players of those quality as cover until the others are back from injury. You need someone to fill the gap for 6 months like we did with McIntyre but just a championship level

Callum mentioned it presumably as a joke but would honestly take Coady back on loan as cover for him

CB is a tricky one because you're not really looking for a starter , you're looking for cover that might not play that often.

Oh here we go, does this mean no JRs and a CB instead?

Jones almost confirmed both Sichenje and Koumetio out long term to Rich, and we'll be changing our transfer targets as a result.

Ah well, we almost signed JRS I guess, we'll always have that 🥲

I think we need to find someone who is as similar as possible to Billy in terms of footedness and technical/Defensive strengths.

Thats just not Coady in my eyes.

How do our players get injured so easily, plenty of Spurs players got clobbered not so much as a twinge

I doubt it affects JRS. Sounds like that was done really?

The club wouldn't seriously cancel JRS transfer now would they? when its apparently done.

Just move on some of the crap we have filling up places in the squad

JRS will be all done already, this will affect if we wanted to look at maybe another CM or had something else up our sleeves last minute.

Only thing is how much we're spending on him and if we decide we need to spend money on a centre back, and if we have the budget for both.

Reckons it scuppers any fanciful deals for Holsgrove too though

If any club would, this one would.

If that's the case then fine, Holsgrove was always going to be a bonus. Apter's poor performance shows the absolute necessity for a right winger

I have a feeling NJ is going to be on a call shortly with the owners to increase the transfer budget.  Might mean little to no transfers in January but can’t close the window with only one healthy cb.

We still have Jones, Burke, Mesik, Bell as options who can play/cover at centre back. Plus Asimwe/the U21s, in an emergency, and Edwards supposedly not miles away from being able to play again. And a lot of people are assuming Koumetio has a bad injury when we don't know that yet. Collns looks in a bad way, but I'm not sure the squad situation is that dire yet. Certainly not ideal though with Ramsay already injured.

I’d be getting on the phone to Coady and Panzo

Holsgrove or someone like that was always going to be the icing on the cake but now looks like it's going to be JRS and a CB (probably on loan). Saw enough from Mwamba tonight that I'd be comfortable having him around the squad.

Josh returning soon hopefully should help Bell and Mesik if Billy is out.

NJ has said he thinks both Collins and Koumetio will be out for a long time

Burke also injured.  NJ indicated that Koumetio’s injury looked concerning.
  • Burke should have never been signed in the first place. Everyone, especially NJ knew about his injury record.

We were all buzzing when this Spurs tie was announced and it’s ended up being a complete disaster in many ways. I just pray to god this doesn’t end up ruining the JRS transfer.

Just when things start looking good for us. Typical Charlton.

Burke is also injured, Bell is constantly an injury risk, Asiimwe is nowhere near good enough, and couldn't be used in the middle of defence, and Jones played about 40% of last season carrying an injury.

I'd say losing 2 centre backs in one night, and one the day before, is pretty dire personally
