Can we just confirm @21cws that these signings are definitely happening?
    Winger medical done last night
Poor footballers having to go in on a bank holiday. Heart really goes out to them

Why not tell us who it is then?
Tbf, JRS had a medical and look where we are now.

    No point sharing the name

I need a @stjohnshill transfer bomba soon to make my day
All I’ve had since Saturday evening is the JRS deal has still been worked on in some capacity. However no update since and still seems pretty unlikely. Reams also was spot on about this.

Only way I see us signing JRS is either a loan as Palace need to offload or they massively reduce the transfer fee.

    Let’s see what today brings….

Maybe it's a precautionary medical, as a backup option in case our main target,  e.g. JRS, falls through,  and we need another option at short notice?

JRS is gonna go somewhere even if its just a loan..... if that were the case I cant for the life of me see why we wouldnt activate the agreement we already have with him. Cant see for a loan why, after all of this, he would go through everything again elsewhere.

Yup... SJH confirms my theory that this League One winger is partly a red herring
Make an effort to sign them as a message that can be sent to Palace saying: "We're ready to move on from JRS unless you lower demands, how many more suitors do you have" - If they're desperate which they should be, we'll come to the table over JRS, OR... We'll sign this League One fella

Also just want to point out that @21cws didn’t say no to BKD but did to Cleary 👀

Where’s the fun in that? This thread is nearly done with 3.5 months without a rumour. Enjoy it why you still can.

Didn't we do this with Sam Lavelle? Was supposed to sign Jason Kerr from St Johnstone but he went to Wigan , but we had a medical and everything done for Lavelle?

Portsmouth are closing in on the signing of Swansea City winger Zeidane Inoussa.

It’s understood the clubs have agreed a season-long loan deal for the 24-year-old.

Inoussa has four years left on his contract.

It's deadline day , you'd be remiss to have all your eggs in one basket player wise. We've probably got 2-3 wingers we're actively ready to do deals on it's just do we get A,B or C

Probably end up being us bringing Junior Quitirna home, if only because it will bamboozle an already surname-impaired forum

Depends if Pompey sell Adrian Segegic. Could need 2 wingers.

    De keersmaecker?
Now that Mills has gone that’s got to be the flood gates open for Oxford, surely there are players that will be demanding a move
Don't see a place for him sadly, as good as he is I'm not sure where he realistically adds given we already need to clear out a few spare midfielders already
He’s better than Cov, Doc and JRC.

Chalobah is a fitness risk given history  and Ouma is an unknown quantity at this stage.

BDK has experience in the champ and plays the sort of game that we require especially now. If we have the cash it seems a no brainer
    Is he back playing?
Thought he had an operation earlier this year on another shoulder injury.

My guesses for rw would be

    Isiah Jones (Luton)
    Harry Leonard (Posh)
     Fabio Jalo (Barnsley)
    Paddy Lane (Reading)

Jones is a good shout. Would fit wing back quite well which we don’t really have an option for on the right at the moment

So you must think we are going back to 3-5-2 with wing backs ?

Our fulls backs will go forward at times but we wanted solid full backs and that has been demonstrated by Danny Boy coming to the club from somewhere !

I thought it was clear we have and want 4 or 5 wide/wingers to rotate and play in the 3 outside of the '10' who will be a shadow striker and must score goals like Carey did last season (up until February !)
Having Grant who can play in 3 positions at a push, out wide, left, right or in the 10 just shows his maturity now.

This second championship season we want to make progress but some deals we just won't be able to do.

Surely both Sichenje and Burke have to be put in room 101 at least for now if only 25 plus Under 21's are in the squad.
Burke not being fit yet again for the cup match created a bad knock on effect.

Hopefully CWs’s phone autocorrected and we’re signing from Ligue 1

Interesting, Charlton TV monthly show is live at 4pm. Are they going to announce a signing or two?

    https://www.cafc.co.uk/news/charltontv-monthly-show-returns-tuesday-0

U21s also being streamed at 1pm, I’d assume any first team players involved won’t be leaving.
