Blimey i'm all for fish puns & nonsense but reminiscing about some random school is too much for even me  :D
I was at Haberdashers in New Cross.

You might think this totally random, but Charlton‘s first ever league goal was scored on our playing fields.

I've just made a quesadilla... Not sure any of this belongs on this thread.

The point being that these two clubs have been how loosely linked  with JRS

Fair point mate, it would be useful to have that context in the original post.

Hope Laq’s got a better loan, he’s the best u21 CB for me. I’m sure he can play higher than the 6th tier, even if he doesn’t break through with us.

Would expect Laq stays with us and Asiimwe goes. Gives us a U21 CB that we don't have to register.

Today, Is there any chance that we can all stick to the red hot transfer news, and keep the usual old bollocks to a minimum, hopefully then theres a chance of us getting through the day in one piece?

    ...(except for this plea obvs.).
    No chance

Would assume he will stick around until one of Burke, Ramsay or Koumetio are back and then probably head back out to non league on loan

Reams saying that "a RW has been signed". So maybe everything's done paperwork-wise?
Assume we’ve signed a left back then.

It'll never happen under Jones but I'd also deregister Brooks and bring in another striker but there you go

It won't happen under any Premier or Championship team to have only 2 keepers registered.
There's 5 championship clubs with only 2 keepers registered currently

Against Nunhead fc? I thought that our first league match was against Exeter.

No real need to recall him in that case though as we could have recalled him at any point

10 hours are left on the clock, this is getting very crucial, and intriguing at the same time...🤔

I think the need will be clear tomorrow when he’s on the bench in place of Asiimwe

Ah sorry, missed you were quoting that post. Yes, that's the only reason it would make sense if he sticks around

National League South. But he was always playing a level or two below where he should. I'm wondering if he was sent there purely to stay sharp until we need him

Josh Laq is also comfortable at right back so makes sense to loan out Assiimwe and have Josh not taking up a squad space

Sometimes players are specifically sent on National League loans because they can be recalled. He got some football before the injuries and now he's available to us. Doughty did alright with the switch
