Would be sorry to see Kanu leave, I think he's at least good enough for league 1 and has the raw materials and desire to improve on that but IF we are being ruthless and IF we include a sell on fee and IF IF IF we can invest in a championship ready striker then so be it.

    And William McGonagall.

    The only three good things.

    And that marmalade.

    The only four good things.
Ok apart from Cake, The Beano, William McGonagall and Marmalade,...what has Dundee ever done for us..
    Video games...Grand Theft Auto
Ok, apart from Cake, The Beano, Willian f'in McGonagall, (whoever the fu*k he is), Marmalade and Grand theft soddin Auto... WTF has Dundee ever done for us FFS

Guess you’re right. Just seems a shame to lose a striker scoring goals in professional football. But I understand the club’s stance if they do decide to. Like you say, depends who they end up buying and how well that money gets spent.

I don't think that Kanu would be a great loss.  He's League 1 level at best, although 'fair play' to him for having a decent time at Walsall.

His technique and physicality will limit how far he can go.

    We need to aim higher.

Like the one for Gomez?, lots of hopeful stick a good sell on in, maybe 1st refusal at a certain price🤷🏻‍♂️

Can’t fault DK’s effort but unfortunately I don’t see him being up to being a championship regular, would be very pleased for him if he was to prove me wrong though. Get what we can for him IMO, along with a few others.

Was mentioned to me earlier looks like one is incoming but couldn’t get a name so didn't post about it. Now looks like that player is Big Billy Koumetio.

As for outgoings - club want to offload everyone who went out on loan on perm deals minus Mbick who the current plan is to loan out again.

Would be surprised if they found a taker for Olaofe. Think that's going to be the difficult one to shift along with Ahadme.
A lot of League 1 clubs were in for Tanto in Jan. Naturally he went back to Stockport . Strangely the loan didn’t go to plan.

However, many L1 clubs will still be interested. A bad 6 months/wrong move is easily forgivable in football.

They will definitely find someone. The question is how much of the wages will we still have to be paying, same with Apter. I’d expect both to move in August as our demands continue to drop throughout the summer

I'm just wondering what kind of fee we'd ultimately recoup, was it £1m+ add-on's we originally paid? I don't know how many League 1 clubs would give us £500k for Tanto and hope they can get him firing.

Thing is none of us know what the fee was. 1m was bandied around but did that include add ons? If so what were they? What proportion of the fee were they? Either way if we do sell him we won’t be recouping what we paid. Likewise Apter, although I’d like to persevere with him.

The question with a player like Tanto is is it worth loaning him out in the hope he has a great season and improves his value? I can't see his value dropping much unless he has a truly torrid time so it might be worth the risk

An obscure joke that requires a little thought and for that reason fails.

Film financing Crocodile Dundees investors including Greg Chappell Rod Marsh and Dennis Lillee made a killing but Kerry Packer and Rupert Murdoch missed out

Oh absolutely modern transfer fees you never know what the fee structure ultimately is.

Agree on you with Apter too. Still think there's something there.

My wife’s cousin is a Dundee boy so I asked him about Koumentia and Will Ferry

on Koumentia “Lay off him. He’s solid. Good player. Would be a shitter if he left.” And “Billy will do a great job for you. £3m should do it 😂”

    and Ferry

”Dinnae get Will Ferry. He shite and plays for that lot across the road 😂”

so there you have it from a man who knows

Will be interesting to see how much we see Apter and Tanto pre season, wouldn’t be surprised to see a lot of them, if they come back with an attitude to prove themselves they may give NJ things to think about, I think they both have good attributes. Neither did themselves any favours out on loan, many on here were quite happy about them signing🤷🏻‍♂️

Billy Koumetio - 23 year old Centre Back currently with Dundee

According to reports in the local paper in that part of Scotland we have had bids rejected

Koumetio - sounds Italian, and Italians have defensive nous in their DNA, sign him up.

Yes, plenty in L1 would take him.
But how many would offer a decent fee?
Edit - I see above that many are making the same point.

    A lot happening next week…
I let the garden go a bit because I said to myself I will do it once I get back from Ireland.
It got rough, but when I got back it was too damn hot to do anything.
So this week is gardening week.
Cut the hedges, cut the grass, sort the weeds growing in the cracks, trim some flowers, pressure wash the concrete bits, assemble the gazebo, put a table and chairs out.
Too right there’s a lot happening.
I don’t like gardening but I owe it to my neighbours to keep stuff in order.
On top of all that starting Friday I have another two week duty to feed local feral cat Harry.

How tall is the cat? (asking for a group of friends with an interest in football recruitment)
Wasn't Peter Bonetti known as 'the Cat'?
Until he 'pawed' at a weak shot and we lost to W Germany in the 1970 world cup semi final. Big soft pussy!
