    So is he the Gilly replacement and long term Bell replacement at LCB and we aren't signing Billy now or is he the Josh Edwards competition? Seeing conflicting things about if he's an LB or LCB

    Cause they been in championship long time .. that’s why we got to bed down and stay in this league not try running before we can walk .. 
    They’ve gone absolutely nowhere eight seasons in a row and I can’t imagine their revenue justifies these kinds of fees they’re throwing around. Their place now is bottom half of the second tier. They should be scraping around for bargains and frees like the rest of us.

    See just stay calm everyone said there was lots going on .. behind the scenes might not be supporter friendly but good the club keeps everything in house until a player signed

    I think we'll hopefully get Billy too. So with those two Bell and Josh maybe that's left side defence?

    The idea that Ahadme stays but Kanu goes, or Apter stays but Anderson goes does not sit well with me.
    We are not talking of Asimwe much, I wonder what the future holds for him, good lad that he is.
    But neither case is related. If Aptor and Ahadme stay it is because we cannot get rid of them. Both took serious investment and decent contracts.  Having failed at this level or below but continue to be paid well (Ahadme probably had a promotion clause in his contract, even though he had naff all to do with it).  Kanu and Anderson are assets that could be in demand elsewhere.  At this time neither are Championship and the age old argument is how long do you keep them for. Get a decent fee with a massive sell on clause, free up some funds in the budget which can be used more effectively for team building.

    I could see that possibly working. Would quite like not to have to play Bell LWB at all :D

    I think we will definitely want 4 good options there after the disaster of last season. At least now Gillesphey is one further down the pecking order for LCB even if we don’t manage to upgrade on him

     “I think he (NJ) knows very well that my main position is centre-back but he also saw me playing many games last season as a left-back or a wing-back,” said Mesik. “This could also be an option for him or the team."

    “We just have to see what the best position is for them to count on me. I think later in time we will see where I best fit."

    Cheers Henry. Looks like he can do a bit of both which would be pretty handy to have.

    Given he relies on subscribers to be able to cover the club can we at least mention quotes are from Cawley’s substack?

    Hi there , first post. Asked some fans of Heracles what they thought of Ivan Mesik:

    ‘Physical, high-intensity, versatile, and an indirect threat during set pieces’

    ’defensively very solid. Brings energy. Room for improvement on the ball’

    apparently plays LB and LCB, with someone preferring him at LB.

    A perfect fit for an NJ defence. You can see a defender who likes getting stuck in and "defending" being happy to play for NJ.

    The bigger challenge for us this summer is attracting more creative players.

    Got a message yesterday afternoon saying “IV pending” had no idea what it meant so didn’t post about it. 

    He wasn’t a name I have heard before but as always I trust Jones with all defensive signings.
