To be fair I only mentioned it as it was a high profile case that has been brought up again recently. But I wasn't trying to start a big conversation and agree it should be droppedsam3110 said:Let's drop it like the charges eh?
Anyway someone approximated it to the Greenwood situation which is absolutely completely different as they dropped the charges themselves based on her family basically telling her to shut up and continue to take his money, and he was an abusive, woman beating see you next Tuesday1 -
So basically what I’ve said, hasn’t been found guilty of anything.golfaddick said:
He hasn't been found non guilty as there was no trial. Charges were dropped 4 years after the incident.Sword65pf said:With respect does this thread have to turn into a did he, didn’t he discussion? The guy is potentially coming to play football for us having not been found guilty of anything.2 -
Put it on another fucking thread then, if that’s what you prefer to discusssam3110 said:Let's drop it like the charges eh?

So what, get over it, you sound like a wounded child. This is football not the playground.golfaddick said:
Were you at Peterbourough when he missed a penalty & looked disinterested all game. Then jumped ship the next week in the middle of our promotion season.MartinCAFC said:
Very happy with that, West Brom wanted to keep him which says a lot as well. And we know he can play in that hybrid role up front and drift wide. Also any previous ill feeling it's time to let go tbh, I was there at Huddersfield that day he simply just gave it back to our fans after he was getting pelters, no issue there, and we are basically a different club to the one he left. Hopefully it goes through and no injury issues identified if/when a medical happens.ProperCharlton said:NJ just confirmed to Cawley that we're interested in Karlan. Not that keen on us signing him but I'll have to get over it if he joins. Can't be worse than when Bonne rejoined tbf
Left us scrambling around for a striker on deadline day to partner Lyle Taylor. We ended up with "no goals" Josh Parker.
His off-field past is nothing to be proud of either. Ever wondered why he dropped the "Ahern" from his surname.
It was Roland that cashed in with Grant. We were left scrambling around for a striker because Roland sold him, Grant was under contract. That is the daftest thing you’ve said yet.16 -
In order that we can knock on the head the Grant "situation", this is what the judge said -
"Clearly, the two players are unhappy at the length of time that it’s taken to reach this stage of proceedings, but the ruling has come after a judge reviewed mobile phone footage from the incident and backed the player’s claim that it was consensual sex."

In England innocence is always assumed unless proven otherwise.fenaddick said:
They were but so were all the charges against Mason Greenwood and the whole internet saw the evidence there. You can't assume guilt but you can't really assume innocence either as those charges are very hard to prove.sam3110 said:Anyway all the charges against KG were dropped weren't they?0 -
Signing Grant means no more Tanto that’s worth the signing alone6

Don’t know if they have played together at a club before but Joe Aribo is now following Greg Docherty too on instagram. Don’t believe they played with each other at Rangers so thought that was a bit odd. They could of course be friends but just thought I’d point it out.4

Knowing Ballards agent (also Adam Wharton agent) he is a greedy arrogant tosser who probably overplayed his handfenaddick said:
This was Dom Ballard, Richie Wellens confirmed it over the weekend. They moved on to Tolaj from PlymouthPaddyP17 said:Was playing cricket for Old Colfeians today. Had a good chat with a footballer who lives local, who mentioned he and Karlan have been at the David Lloyd in Kidbrooke at the same time a few times recently. Was keen to stress that he knows KAG lives down the road so don't read loads into it - and I couldn't draw much from him on if he knew if there was any movement. But this guy's usually relatively tight lipped and our chat make me think it could well be happening/has already happened.
I also found out that Bristol City have not signed their top striker target (based in England), who is very unhappy it didn't go through (not sure why it fell through), and we don't think they're going back in for him yet.3 -
How do you know if he has just followed him? Just curious.CB1 said:Don’t know if they have played together at a club before but Joe Aribo is now following Greg Docherty too on instagram. I would welcome Aribo back with open arms. I think it just clicks at certain club, with a decent pre-season and a bit of freedom, could be a serious pick up for us.1 -
Feels crazy to say this because it was a blow to our momentum at the time, but given where the club would go during the ESI debacle and the Sandgaard years, I’d say KG actually made a smart move for his career. He’s gone on to be a very solid Championship player and one that I’m sure others in the division would love to have
He may not have left on the best of terms, leading to some piss poor behavior from our fans, and I sure as well was pretty pissed when he left, but looking back, I can’t blame him for it
Not usually one for running it back with former players, but I’d make an exception in this case. Would gladly have him back16 -
Joe Aribo and Docherty were at Rangers at the same time.Braziliance said:

I’m on holiday currently but I can actually check following order via my laptop because I was working on a programme that utilised this as a dataset anyway guff aside, I fly home tonight and I’ll be able to tell if it is recentCB1 said:Don’t know if they have played together at a club before but Joe Aribo is now following Greg Docherty too on instagram. I mean plenty of his players are on record saying they absolutely love playing for him, and a few of them keep signing for him. So yes I think players do want to play for JonesValleyLocal said:Besides the budget. Would anyone decent want to play for Jones?
I wouldn't.

Shocked that anyone would be happy for us to sign Redmond. He’s played 20 games in the last 3 years and didn’t have his contract renewed by Sheffield Wednesday & Blackburn last season. If neither of them want him, we shouldn’t touch him with a barge pole.18

Without wanting to extend this nonsense. He’s therefore not guilty.golfaddick said:

Just not that simple is it. As @Braziliance said about Aribo, sometimes players do/don’t click at clubs. Maybe Redmond does here. And he won’t spend the first few weeks of a deal getting up to match fitness because he’s done pre season. He could also have dropped his wage demands, that might have been an issue for sticking around those other clubs. If he’s relatively cheap then I think he’s a worthwhile option and gives TC someone to learn fromarny23394 said:Shocked that anyone would be happy for us to sign Redmond.
