To be fair, and I might be reading too much into this, but I'm sure when Carter was talking to Cawley he spoke of the signings that have been 'announced' so far rather than something like 'completed' so far. This did make me wonder if maybe we had signed someone but it hadn't been announced just yet for whatever reason. Could be to do with the reveal video etc or maybe wanting to announce more than one at the same time.
Or I could be (probably am) reading too much into what I'm sure I heard.3 -

I think most of us at this stage wouldn’t care if the new signing was announced on the back of a 177 bus as opposed to us delaying it as we’re preparing a flashy and funny announcement video. Look, if we blow £4-5m on a properly decent CM and they decide Redmond and Apter are the RW options until January, then so be itCafcSteve said:

Probably because he's played 6 games in total for Sheffield Wednesday and Blackburn. If Redmond was a third choice option for either wing, I don't mind it, but at the moment we're tight on squad spaces so I can only see him coming as the second choice RW.
Him, Dykes and Coady are all players you want in the dressing room, but not as an integral part of the squad0 -
