Nixon rumour will either be Holsgrove,Ouma or McCowatt. Guaranteed.
    Or Campbell to Preston?
Could be. Bit more doubtful on that one now they've signed Burgzorg.
Agreed but would bring in funds to offset incomings being rumoured plus getting the squad numbers down.

My main memory of Kashi will always be that goal from the centre circle at Posh. Might have been league cup?

They’re copying us and trying to go from a 352 to 433 but they only have 1 winger either side at present so they’re still looking at mills/Tc

All he does is trawl forums and call it an exclusive, steals a living that bloke. Gets the occasional one right but if you throw enough shit some will stick.

I've never been more certain of anything in my life that if we do sign Ouma he will be absolutely brilliant for the first 4 or 5 games and then get a really bad injury that keeps him out for months and that he never properly recovers from. Maybe I just have Ahmed Kashi trauma from remembering him looking like peak Kishishev in his first few games and then coming back and looking like peak me but I know this to be true
Kashi was absolutely superb in the early days, you’re spot on.
Of all the injuries we’ve had to endure since dropping out of the Prem I think Kashi’s is up there with those that hurt the most for exactly the reasons as described. And it wasn’t even an injury during a game it all started from a rumour which always seem to be the worst. Probably on a par with Wiggins injury as amongst the ones that hurt us most.
I'd put Vetokele up there as well. We were a Playoff bothering team until we broke him

Can't see it being McCowatt. Doesnt fit a rw that NJ knows.

He did seem to have an inside track on us in the TS era but TS would talk to anyone that would give him 5 mins.

Not rumours related but the NTT20 boys have a 20 minute interview with Nathan Jones this morning on their substack. It’s behind a paywall, but they’re doing 14 days free at the moment I believe. Nothing particularly revelatory in it but a nice parkrun length listen. Does say that he knew we’d have to wait a bit longer for our key targets this year. Seemed in a good place.

Remember him absolutely running Lewis Dunk ragged at the AMEX in a 2-2 draw , was the best player on the pitch by a mile.

I heard Phil Chapple got the train to watch our new signing. He caught the 3:10 to Ouma.

    I can't believe you Martin,
We get some cracking rumours and you keep doing the same old passe comments from windows past.
Up your game or you will go on a free to Ebbsfleet !

It's all exciting isn't it.  Ouma and Holsgrove would be a bit of a statement from the club but either of them would be an improvement.  Ouma actually excited me more because he looks to be so mobile and that;s what me have missed.  He's a bit like a black Scott Parker - with energy, passing and tackling.  The Kashi conmparison looks valid

Holsgrove has a bit of Scott Fraser energy to me - could be amazing but could be absolutely guff too.

Chalobah seems to me to be to bolster us as much as anything.  Shame we loaned out Gough as i felt he might step up this season and could have learned from a mentor like Chalobah in the #6 role

McCowatt played in three World Cup games. We were supposedly interested in Kiwi Eli Just but that rumour was started by Ronnie Moore I believe.
It came from ex employee of the club who has good contacts
Probably the Spanish scout that Ronnie pretends to be then on X. He likes to fantasies to feel important.

But that goes completely against what Ropes of Jizz said over on the other place.  I simply won't believe it

You're severely overestimating my park run time. I'd need a feature film.

Really don’t like the casual racism in this. Not here to start an argument, just to merely point something out. Might not see it to be, but it is and it’s not funny.

Think those comments were more aimed at Kamara. Which seems to be the general take  from most

The club have screwed up badly.

Having carefully kept their powder dry, they now realise that most clubs (except for a few in Columbia) and their accountants prefer to be paid in actual money.
As a consequence, fans* purchasing the combo programme/handbook against Derby can expect to find a complimentary small sachet slipped inside. Helpfully the product has been cut with analgesics in order to reduce the pain being induced by the quality of the football.

    This is being misquoted.

    This is what Jones says

“We are looking for an attacking player on the right-hand side. Suddenly we get linked with everyone and anyone who wants to use us, or generate interest, has linked us with stuff."

"We know the player. I know the player very, very well. Let’s see where he ends up.”

All of that is a response to a question about Abu Kamara.

The end sentence where he says "let's see where he ends up" shows that the entire answer from Jones was referencing Kamara. He's not saying he knows a different right winger very, very well, he's saying he knows Kamara very well.

Not really sure how that could be construed in any way as casual racism... He objectively has a darker skin tone and it was said as a complement, Jesus Christ
