I wouldn’t be surprised if we loaned out Brooks and used an underage academy player as our 3rd choice keeper, seems a waste of an overage squad slot on a 3rd keeper.

We've strenghtened in most areas and have more depth.

Nearly all the ingrediants of the dessert have been assembled and the Jones the Baker can now cook them as he pleases but as ever the proof of the pudding will be in the eating.

If somehow TK and Mannion got injured at the same time we can utilise the emergency loan market

I know frees & loans attract up front payments, and some players such as Grant & Chalobah will be on higher wages than our average players, but our transfer outlay falls short of what most on here would have thought we would have spent by the season opener.

No one said we were chasing Ouma for months.

But if Holsgrove is not gonna happening you move on to your next best option if you’ve half a brain or would you have preferred us to sign Foo Kin Noone.

Jeez I’m signing out for the night as the stupidity levels are too much at times.

To be fair they said they had been looking at him a long time, I’d say that indicates months.

I should say we’ve been looking at tens if not hundreds of players for months/years, that’s what Chapple and his team are paid to do full time.

Looking at players and actively contacting them to sign is 2 entirely different matters.

It’s a poor show if we’re only looking at a low number.

If Leaburn left then we’d need to bring in another striker. That might happen but we still need to find another 4th exit to bring in the winger 

ATM we have Godden and Grant (who I think will feature down the middle quite a bit, particularly if TC stays ) - in say 4 weeks we will also have mbick and Kelman competing for that 1 spot - I’m not sure how Leaburn gets a game once all are fit

Makes the signing of Brooks seem slightly strange - is he supposed to be a bit of a gem?

I can only see Leaburn going if it somehow means we can then get an oven ready proven striker with genuine Championship bona fides - which seems very very unlikely and doesn't do anything to solve the numbers problem anyway.

Tc and Alli? the new winger r the 2 left side options, apter and the winger we r looking to bring in r the right side options leaving Grant and Godden to job share until mbick and Kelman r back

I don’t think he goes anywhere or is meant to be a gem. He’s there so that we have three keepers who have played senior football. In an ideal world he improves enough to become the second choice keeper when Mannion wants to move on for regular football

Interesting stats about Cov/Doc/JRC and distances covered.  I think one of Coventry’s biggest assets, which often goes unnoticed, is because he doesn’t have great pace his game is about reading the game better and being in the right place.  The reason we noticed Dobbo was because of a last minute tackle that smashed a guy in the air but it’s most likely because he was poorly positioned in the first place.  Coventry isn’t that type of player - he’s less spectacular but just as important.  

I’ve never seen anything  of JrC and thought he was great or even good.  Always meh.  Too slow, poor on the ball, gets dragged out of position.  I’d have no qualms in him departing

From above it seems obvious that one yhe four to leave will be a keeper and only Kaminsky has a likely sell-on.

Echo the other thoughts where I wouldn't really care if JRC leaves, just doesn't look physically anywhere near it and doesn't have the technical ability or footballing intelligence to make up for that imo

Did he? I think it was more that were top heavy and that for us to be able to sign a new striker someone would need to leave.

When you only get 25 squad places 3 goalkeepers seems excessive to me. Can you not name 2 and then in an emergency bring the 3rd in? Don't actually know how it works.

Dobson is the kind of player who would launch a cruncher of a tackle to knick the ball off someone about to break through. Coventry is the kind who would intercept the pass through so the player never makes that run in the first place.
I'm not saying this to say one is better or worse than the other and they both bring other things as well of course.
