TC changing his name by deed poll to Tyricio Campennelli as we speak.5 -
Not a bad shout Callum , they've lost Chakvadaze tooCallumcafc said:Irankunda going to Sporting. Could Watford look at TC as a potential replacement?0 -
Think DK might be going to Orlando, already has his own branding in place!! How’s that for ITK😜

They’ve also currently got Michail Antonio training with them.Callumcafc said:Irankunda going to Sporting. Could Watford look at TC as a potential replacement?0 -

Last season we spent 8.9M upfront with a reported 11.5M in overall transfer fees.J BLOCK said:We should still be expecting a decent outlay on at least one player. Carter told us we'd be spending more this summer than last.
if We assume we’re covering the other 2.5M in last year fees this summer + 1.8M Sichenje +2M so far that’s already 6.3M this summer. That would leave only 2.6M which you can say has gone towards the increased wage bill and potentially other behind the scenes improvements as well so we’ve actually invested more than what we would assume
Haven't we bought in close to £1M from sales of Gillesphey, Mitchell and Anderson?
Plus likely to sell Kanu and quite possibly TC too. Will we reinvest if we do? Be interesting to see.
I wonder what our wages are like compared to last season, we have lost a lot of players and Clarke, Bree, Coady and Dykes would have been on a fair whack.0 -

1) put a cross in for our loan striker to attack
2) cut onto his left & shoot.
I can see us trying to shoehorn him into the team by starting him on the right & like last Sat have to switch him with Grant or Alli after 30 mins.
As @Berkshire1970 said above.....I'd rather take £3m now & use that money on a proper Right winger.
Alli has played on the right a fair bit in his career. So I think we can have a new right winger and Alli on the right, Grant and TC on the left
No reason why we can’t keep TC and also sign a new right winger. £3m won’t get you much anyway, which is why we are probably looking at the loan market for the winger position anyway4 -

August 29th Watford loan TC from Udinese for the season.6 -
No chance Gillesphey we probably would have let go free if it meant freeing up space +wages. Mitchell we had agreed 200k with Wycombe so wouldn’t have got much more from Plymouth and Anderson again someone we wanted to offload and Blackpool aren’t made of money.Athletico Charlton said:Crispywood said:

Cross Min-Heyok Yang off the loan wingers list , Spurs have loaned him to Westerlo in Belgium.0

He flopped in league 1 last season in his proper position. Nathan Jones will have seen plenty of both and it’s quite clear which one he rates higher. Don’t think it’s really a debate tbh, if we can keep TC then we should, even if that means Apter is surplus to requirements againwmcf123 said:

Well we already owe 500k for Alli at a later date which has already been factored out, and paying 500k up front for Mesik and Koumetio is much different then paying 3M upfront for Kelman or 2M for Apter or 1.8M for Knibbs Sichenje etcmcgrandall said:
Why have you assumed that we have paid all fees from this year upfront, but split last year's? Appreciate this is fag packet maths, but the logic isn't consistent.Crispywood said:

TC should be no way near the right side of the attack he’s completely ineffective in that position. For Apter it his natural position which he has previously done very well in at league one. I’d prefer Apter playing that rw spot than TC0 -
And I’d prefer a new signing and Alli to be our options on the right, if it means keeping TC on the left along with Grant. I suspect that is Jones view too which is why he wants TC to sign a new dealAberystwythAddick said:

Also if Apter’s lost his confidence surely he needs to refind it? Rather he did that in league 1 than in the championship where he might struggle0 -
Let me get my head around this...
"Don't play Campbell on the right, he's useless there. Play him on the left"
"We have 2 right wingers in Alli and Apter"
"No! TC's better than Apter, get rid if Apter"
???
You are aware Apter started against Dartford, and is currently injured?0 -
Well, very nice indeed and is that really necessary or is it becoming the norm on this forum, to insult others?sam3110 said:
We've gone from nearly league 2 to staying up last season in the championship in 2.5 seasons, if you can't find pleasure in that then kindly fuck off and support Bayern Munich or someone who just wins every week and bulldozes every side Infront of themsillav nitram said:

The last two seasons have seen progress but I’ve been around a lot longer than that, maybe you have too?A lot of my Charlton experience hasn’t been great but I’m still here supporting, I’d just like to have more joy, than angst, or is that too much to ask?5 -
Thing is, we don’t know for sure, either way. I think we’re paying a lot more in wages this year which soon adds up, wouldn’t be surprised if a couple of players are on over £1m a year. Fees paid are split over the length of the contract and the money is not completely written off as some players will command a fee when sold. Trying to estimate all this is impossible.J BLOCK said:

With bigger wages and signing on fees I doubt we’re that far short of last summers outlay already. Enough in reserve I suspect for the right player.J BLOCK said:We should still be expecting a decent outlay on at least one player. Carter told us we'd be spending more this summer than last.0 -

Backed him in league 1 being the key phrase. If Apter has lost his confidence then I’m not sure chucking him back into the championship is the best next step. Especially if he’s not going to get many minutes with a new signing coming in and Alli able to play on the rightwmcf123 said:

If we could keep TC though, then Apter can go to league 1 and hopefully regain his confidence before he has another go at the championship0
