My sources tell me Nathan Jones has hand-assembled a 'tough mudder' assault course at sparrows lane.

Dykes and Godden face off tomorrow morning on the 'mudder' at 8am.

The winner gets a new contract as their prize.

And the loser... The less said the better. Let's just say Nathan Jones has cooked up a truly unpleasant forfeit.

Millwall to Charlton transfers don’t happen that often.

I’d prefer we buy from other clubs as petrol and spring water do not mix…..

    1. Alex Mitchell — 2024
    2. Adam Cottrell — 2006
    3. Jamie Stuart — 2005
    4. Alan McLeary — 1993
    5. Phil Walker — 1979
    6. Eamon Dunphy — 1973

Jamie Stuart was in the 90’s too?

Also didn’t we loan a winger from them while in League One?

Would hope that any deal with Godden keeps him around as coach too.

wonder if that could be a case for Dykes, that or he would have to take a big pay cut and be second string

Godden has said before he’s got no interest in coaching, he wants to be a financial advisor when he finishes playing

Can’t see Dykes looking at coaching. Would imagine we will offer him a decent contract and he will wait and see what else is out there

Isn't Pat Casey out of contract too? No mention of him.  I know he is young but he has signed a pro contract previously so you would think would have been included.
Glad Berry is being released and hoping Dykes doesn't sign.

I wonder if they will announce anything related to the u21 squad.  If I remember correctly,  I think they were silent about youth releases last year.  Not sure of contract lengths but the likes of Casey, Hobden, bower etc might result in some difficult decisions

I think the only U21’s the club are actually concern about keeping were mentioned in the 1st team doubt those 3 are tough choices considering they played 6tg tier football

Can only assume from that list that they'll seriously be listening to offers for Leaburn.

Otherwise we could well end up with the same attacking line up we ended the season with, which doesn't sit too well

Could  argue Will TC, Leaburn, Kelman all be better with the bedding in season and some better midfielders in behind, they may be completely different players next season

Looking back they did an u21 update in early August which only mentioned players who signed new deals, signed from elsewhere or were promoted from the u18s. The new u18 scholars were also announced at a similar time. Wasn’t even a brief mention and good luck to those that were released.

I hope we get an earlier and more complete u21 and u18 update this year, something we had in previous years.

Might be reading too much into it but I think offering Dykes a deal suggests Adebayo isn’t a goer
