For me - I would like to see a RW and someone who can play in this 10 role.. I don't think we have anyone that is really suited to that role.

I can see it being one player - who can player both RW as well as the 10, in a similar vein to Grant.

Just walked past the Valley Cafe and saw Jesrun Rak-Sakyi and Jordan Holsgrove having a heated debate over a full English Breakfast.. Although the food wasn't the debate, Jes still squirted Jordan with the ketchup and said something like: "That'll go well with your new Football shirt", winked at me and went back to his hash browns!!

I wouldn’t want him, but Ogbene to Lincoln is a pretty good move for them.
A rather condescending remark. "He is nowhere good enough for us, but a good signing for them."  I hope our respective positions in the table at end of season justify your attitude.
We’re a better team than Lincoln looking at improving on just survival. Of course a good signing for them might not be good for us.

    Bore off
What a disgusting attitude you have, poor old Lincoln
he’s not exactly wrong, tanto was a good signing for them but was our deadwood
Might want to think about an edit to the username in that case - maybe Tantosonfire_LN5?

We have Carey. He was poor on Saturday in a game where we actually had quite a lot of the ball, but that type of game will be pretty rare this season. In most games we will need his best attributes of work rate, ball carrying and shooting from that role. Plus the long throw

If we could move on Knibbs and Costello then maybe there’d be space for another 10, but with those 2, Carey and Grant all able to play there I can’t see it being an area we strengthen today

On a serious note... For all the talk about loaning Brooks out and obtaining an extra space in the Squad because we'd still have two Goalkeepers - Erm wouldn't that leave us with one Goalkeeper seeing that Mannion is out injured (?)
I know we can stick Hardy on the bench, and / or get an emergency Goalkeeper but the last time we did the latter we got Sam Walker (?) who had a shocker of a performance against Cray Valley Paper Mills... I'd rather keep Brooks than play real life Football Manager.

I’m expecting a right winger in and 3 players out (Apter, Docherty, Asiimwe), though if Docherty is heading north of the border it won’t need to be done today

Whatever happens today it’s been a good window, we’ve made some good signings and secured some of our best players on new contracts

Today, Is there any chance that we can all stick to the red hot transfer news, and keep the usual old bollocks to a minimum, hopefully then theres a chance of us getting through the day in one piece?

    ...(except for this plea obvs.).

    I'll take just a RW

If we do that it's been a great window.  Building the blocks for the future piece by piece

I presume today we'll also hear about Otto Tiitinen?

All sounded true, until you said a professional footballer winked at you. Fantasy stuff mate 😉

No idea if it matters or not if he isn’t to be registered for the first team anyway?

Only Knibbs Grant and Carey …. Knibbs was excellent in pre season and really linked up well with Grant very unlucky not to start the season

This one is big time - If we can shift enough players off the books we can get more in -

    I'll be ready

They are not a natural number 10. They are players that playing as 10!

What would you say Carey and Knibbs natural position is then?

Was Knibbs excellent in pre season or just better than the others at the time?

Having gone to the Wimbledon game, I can safely say they were all shite that day

I wonder what the plan is with asiimwe if nobody shows an interest. Do we Liam him to the national league so that he gets game time

If he’d said a professional footballer had realised someone was watching and immediately spat on the ground I’d have definitely believed it

An interesting day ahead, particularly if anything can be resurrected with JRS.
But whatever happens, it's been a really progressive summer window and huge credit must go to the owners, JR, PC and NJ.

They are, they’re called Brexit 10s, and they’re supposed to bring hard running, hard tackles and hard shots. Luke Berry was the same.

Anyone hoping for a 10 you can describe as a Trequartista or Enganche is going to be disappointed.

Sneaky that Scotland's transfer window doesn't close until Thursday at 5pm, as Scottish clubs will be in the perfect position to pick up unwanted players whose deals fell through today.
