Norwich finally found their top 2 form and are the best team in the league at present time .. this is a very difficult game and can see a home defeat 1-2 ….

Dykes up top with Kelman… Coady will return

Simply not so. You didn't see their defeat at Southampton then? Did you know they lost at Southampton on Wednesday?

The sheer cheek of some Norwich fans suggesting things like Clement for manager of the season and assuming they are now doing a late play off charge wound me up enough.

I feel we never really do well against Norwich, even if the stats don't back that up, can see a 1-2 defeat.

Hoping to be proved wrong and Kelman keeps scoring, COYR!

I don't expect a classic. We will make it difficult for them.

This is a "must not lose" match.

It's nothing to do with putting a relegation battle to bed, this is bigger than that: Monday morning at work.

I don't want to be in meetings next week with smug, chirpy Canaries. A win for us would be great but I'd be happy with a draw.

1-1 (Ginger Genius in front of the Jimmy Seed, giving it the celebration biggun in front of his county-folk)
I’m not really sure it is to be honest. I think it’s a “hopefully don’t lose”. Obviously I want us to win (or at least not lose) but given recent results it’s not a necessity.

Hopefully they will be worn out by playing (and losing) on Wednesday against Saints. Therefore a draw, 0 0.
  • Always good to know whether the game is classified ‘must not lose’ or ‘free hit’

Didn't we beat them 4-1 last day of season with a Dion Burton hat trick? Mind you I think we were both relegated before that game, a free hit game maybe?
  • 1-0 to the reds.  I think the air will already have started to go out of them after Wednesday and at least a few of them will feel like they aren't really playing for anything any more.  We dig in, a-la boro, and grab a goal from out of nowhere.

It's confusing why Manning failed so badly at Norwich.  A Norwich supporter and experienced English manager,  who had a great season with Bristol City , he should have been a perfect fit.

My first Charlton game was v Norwich in April 1964, so almost 62 years ago (ulp!). A repeat of the 3-1 win then would do nicely, as going with a group of friends. Funnily enough, I had gone to Carrow Road a few weeks before, as we were visiting my uncle who lived there at the time, and saw them lose 2-1 to Manchester City.

    1-1

Dykes to give them all a good kicking
  • I have a feeling we could nick this. My boys are also Norwich fans as well as Charlton (I know...) and I annoyingly have to listen to everything that's going on.

They have so many injuries, no left back, one right back and only one striker fit who is about 4 foot tall. They will overload the midfield though and have Pele Matsen who is very decent.

They have a knack for scoring though, even with no bloody strikers.

    I'm going to go 1-0.

We must be due to play a rare front footed exciting game of football. Its about time. We were rubbish on Boxing Day but they still only beat ua with a lucky deflection putting the ball straight to Makama who couldn"t miss. We might sneak a draw, 1-1.

Zero chance we'll be front footed and exciting against a team like Norwich. It'll be another grind  :D

Kelman has to start along with Dykes. Campbell just isn't doing it ATM and has looked poor. Doc and Mannion both deserve to stay in.

Will be difficult game for sure. Id take a draw all day long and just keep clawing points for aslong as we have too.

Would really like us to be aggressive and down right nasty...be a shithouse team and get at oppos to wind them up. We have it done to us all the time so why not give it back!

    Charlton 1- Norwich 1 (Kelman)
    Who is getting our goal?

In the pre match press conference Clement commented on the squeeze of fixtures, late finishes getting home, recovery time and so on. From what I can make out he intimated that Norwich would not be travelling today and staying overnight as they would usually, but will travel down tomorrow, presumably by train and coach or whatever. If they leave in the morning and go all the way to London by coach it will be a different sort of day for them, and opponents with different to usual headspaces for us.

Or it could be classified as a 'must not hit'? Or even a 'free lose'?
I can't get there tomorrow so that means a win for the Addicks. 1-0.

Over the season, they have just 3 points more than us. We should not be afraid. Attack with gusto, score 5 and head to mid table survival. The most we hoped for back at Wembley.
