Haven’t made the most of them today but Clarke’s long throws are remarkable0

All set up for the 3-1 to the mighty Charlton0
-
HT 0-1
Dire.3 -
Been played with the intensity of a training game at times1
-
Getting in at half time 0-1 positive. It could have been more. Hopefully Charlton can deal with Norwich set up in 2nd half. Norwich much better team this half.0
-
Well that was a fun game, lets move on to the next on- Wait... What do you mean we've still got 45mins to go?0

A few attempted boos at HT but they don’t really get going (a bit like the players in red)1
-
Formation change needed for me.

0-1 at half time we can still pull it back. They just seem so much more organised than us. Much lower chance of a fuck-up from them gifting us a chance. We're going to have to create something ourselves.0
-
Pretty poor that! The poor 1,400 or so kids that have come to see this🤣
Just continuing to lump it forward, but when we do get the ball on the floor, we just faff about and tend to play it negatively.
dykes totally isolated, not really receiving much help from TC0 -
HT 0-1, we have had a few bright moments, but not many, they score after we invite them to try a long range effort from outside the box, second half to come, and we will score, just need to sharpen up a bit and not defend too deep...1
-
They're better than us but we've mostly stood up to it.
But wow....Campbell has the heart of a petit pois. Get him off.
At least Fevrier will put some graft in.

They'll learn never to do what they did wrong to be here in the first place then... Its a hard lesson, but effectivesammy391 said:The poor 1,400 or so kids that have come to see this🤣1 -
Feel that we can get something from this despite not creating a great deal. A bit lore intensity needed but we're definitely playing on the deck a bit more lately.2
-
It's almost as if Jones is incapable of setting up a team to attack.6

Can we blame it all on TC?1

Not watched the game, but get TC off I assume?3

It’s not just TC - the last few games Carey has been playing really deep as well. Clearly a tactical thing, especially after Jones pointed out his need to work on the defensive side. But I don’t like it.sammy391 said:Pretty poor that! The poor 1,400 or so kids that have come to see this🤣

Jones talks about us being front footed, and not passive. But my one criticism of him, is he does not set us up in a way to make that very achievable.

So, nothing to do with the opposition,,,East Kent Addick said:It's almost as if Jones is incapable of setting up a team to attack.0 -
Credit where credit is due..
Norwich are a class above us so far. They are playing through us with ease and closing us down so quickly.
NJ has to earn his money at half time today. He will be a genius if he can turn this round based on that first half.

Norwich pulling us all over the shop with their tactics - would encourage anyone at the Valley to give a listen back to Steve Brown’s analysis when the match replay goes up on the website.Think the only answer here is a 4-4-2 - we need more players in wide areas to stop them overloading centrally so easily. It might result in us being more open but the current set up has almost no chance of winning this game.
Side note, I will never not hate smug away fans.1 -
Not been that bad….would bring on another midfielder to try and close them down…possible Kelman as well…their left back Fisher keeps moving into midfield…big gap where he has vacated that spot1
-
Promotion in his first full season and has Charlton 9 points clear of the relegation zone in the ChampionshipEast Kent Addick said:It's almost as if Jones is incapable of setting up a team to attack.4 -
Gough, Coady and Gillesphey partnership conceded 0 goals away at Middlesborough...
MAKES YOU THINK

Anyone have the stat for how many goals we’ve scored in first half this season?0
