In the past half-an-hour, Companies House has just recorded that Roland Duchatelet is no longer a director of Charlton Athletic Holdings (which owns The Valley) or Baton 2010 (which owns Charlton Athletic Holdings), as of February 16th .
The sole director of both is now Lieven De Turk (or as many issues of VOTV used to put it "Roland's point man Lieven De Turk").

I did think that something serious had happened but I'm guessing this might be a bit of bureaucratic tidying-up - he's still recorded as a director of Staprix, which was recorded as still owning Baton 2010, and De Turk is a director alongside him.altrinchamaddick said:Does that mean there might be a possibility of a sale?

Funnily enough, if you look at Staprix in the Belgian company registry above, and click on the code that is there in place of a director's name, it takes you to his other company, Elex, which has a certain K. Miere alongside him as a director.5 -

Jewish people change their name, so they wouldn’t be targeted at school, I think they’ve suffered enough!3

In the directors meeting Carter made it very clear there was no intention to buy the valley unless we got to prem.altrinchamaddick said:Does that mean there might be a possibility of a sale?
my guess now the lease is confirmed till 2040 when he will likely be gone he has no need to own/manage the training ground and stadium anymore and likely shifted it into someone else’s hands like his son who he did previously with upjest his other football club.1 -
Looks like he resigned in Feb 2026.0

They had discussions months ago before agreeing the new lease, said recently it’s nothing something we’re looking at for the near future unless we reach the premSuedeAdidas said:Didn’t that random video a couple of weeks back say things were being discussed re buying the ground ?!?0 -

Do we know they ever discussed it? I doubt they did. Just discussed the leáse.

I think they did talk about it at one point but purely out of curiosity and enquiry opposed to actually wanting to get it done. Now we have the 15 yr lease though doubt we’re looking to make it permanent for a while unless we get promoted to the premAthletico Charlton said:Crispywood said:

Posted this in the Accounts thread but also relevant here:I did a bit of searching online in Dutch last night.
Came across an article from c four years ago about his legacy planning - setting up a foundation / family office called Duchatelet Future. The “family leaders” were RD himself, son Roderick (the one involved in Ujpest) and daughter Laura. The directors were familiar names of Lieven de Turck and Katrien Meire.I therefore wonder if this is further tidying up of assets under this umbrella.RD recently featured on the Forbes billionaire list for the first time and has made public appearances in Belgium in the past couple of months.
The club has told CAST that they suspect it is just tidying up. And confirmed that the lease on The Valley now runs to 2040.2
