Anyone else seen this on socials? Seems like Luke has had enough of premier league football and is now dedicating a bit of his time to following us closely and offering insights pre and post match.

Would be good to see him as a guest on Charlton TV too.

Is it me or does that profile feel weird? 9572 followers not following a single person and only two posts? Its clearly him though so what do I know.

I met Luke Young a couple of years ago - at Cape Town airport … a bit random - he was really chatty, happy to be recognised and pleased when I bigged him up and as an England and great Prem player in front of his young daughters who ‘didn’t believe him’.

He said he was an agent at the time, representing a couple of our players including Kanu… so maybe he’s still reasonably tied to the club and tapping into it more… seems a bit odd though🤷‍♂️…

maybe (anyone got any straws for me to clutch) he’s spotting some promising things happening down there and seeing an opportunity if he can nail down being our no1 social media / podcast type thing before we rapidly ascend to the premier league and Europe next season..

Think it’s an old fan account that he’s purchased/taken over and rebranded

Yeah .. that’s not true, is it .  Luke was good - solid in the tackle , good pace and energy and a premier league player for 10 years plus, but better than Gary Neville, he was not

Playing better than, and being better than, are two different things

Listening on Sportalk, an interview with Danny Murphy was asked for close friends in football.
He mentioned Gerard as he said he used to room with him on away games but a close friend was Luke Young

Someone above has pointed it out but I'll make it clearer

When Luke Young came into the England side he was playing better football than Gary Neville was, I rated Gary Neville however he got away with a lot maybe owing to being mates with the captain and playing in a very decent united side. Even the season we went down Luke Young was the best English right back at the time and had been for 3 seasons

Luke Young has set up the account to discuss Charlton games becuase he is fed up of premier league football as it’s slow sideways football with 10 men behind the ball. Does anyone want to tell him?
