    Ramsay Jones Bell Chambers

                    JRC Doc

          Fevrier Carey Campbell

                        Dykes

But most likely same formation and Fevrier right wing back

Jones is probably gonna fuck with us all and it be a 433 with Fev and TC either side of Dykes.
Nah, 3 at the back: Leaburn, Dykes and TC.

Carey and JRC are the half-back flankers, Rambo, Fev and Chambers in the middle.

Jones and Mannion are today's strike force with Bell dropping back between the sticks.

EDIT: Bugger, Miles is on the bench ... I'd left out Dochers!!

A quick reshuffle has Carey in the back 3, Mannion at half back and the skipper up front leading the line.

Godden to come on for Chambers after an hour I would imagine.

Preston don't have a Twine type in midfield, so we can afford a slightly more dynamic pairing than Doc and Cov.

Thats the team we'll be putting out against Ipswich, no need to reveal the tactic early

TC starting upfront again. Like that has worked before.. ..🙄

And we have 3 strikers on the bench.

And people wonder why we are 3rd bottom for goals scored. And wonder why we dont win games if we concede first.
We were far better going forward against Watford with TC on the pitch than we were the game before with Kelman alongside Dykes.

Might be 4-3-3/4-2-3-1, in which case the moan can change to “why are we only playing a one striker”.

And so the 24/25 season crawls to a close ..  😉

TEAM NEWS… Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Jones revealed that Miles Leaburn (ankle) and Collins Sichenje (hamstring) are both back on the grass

Shouldn't they be concentrating on getting fit instead of doing weed?

That's me waiting for a Jones substitution.

    That's Jones waiting for a Jones substitution...🤦‍♂️

No Knibbs, Berry gets the nod. Would have liked to have seen Kelman or Godden start alongside Dykes rather than the Campbell experiment given another go.
  • I was hoping I would not see Costello start  again - no pace - walks around and gives 50% effort . We must have bettter acadamy players than him !!!!

Unless Knibbs has had a setback, I don't understand why Berry is involved. Surely we're not going to be keeping him next season?

I think he's decent in games where we have a lot of possession and pretty bad when we don't. We'll find out soon enough how this one turns out to be!

Preston are almost as possession shy as us, when we have those games at home we tend to dominate the ball

Feels a bit of a line-up where Jones feels we're pretty safe, and has started to experiment a little bit.
Am sure its not that cut and dry though, as we're not there until its mathematical
  • Blimey I hope we beat PNE today because I am watching Cov v Sheff and Wednesday look really decent.

But who is going to take our long throws?!
Carey, although technically his are only longish throws.

Same - they could have won this with some better finishing.

It’ll be interesting to see if Février on the other wing frees up TC.
TC was definitely more effective last season when Small was on the opposite wing.

    Small on the bench, eh?

Saving the "ex-player scores against us" kick in the nuts until the last 10 minutes ...
Small joined by 3 other mercenaries from the Balkans?

If only he could show such flexibility!

If the three -ićs come on they'll be all over us like a rash.

Thank you very much, I'll be here all afternoon.

There has to be some reason for playing Carey given his recent form.  Alternatively we might try and get our quick throw figure this season above a figure you can count on one hand.

We scored at Watford once a proper second striker came on......and he scored within a minute.

Have a dig at me all you like (and you @Herminator) but we've played 41 games this season mainly playing the same way & the only time TC looks threatening is later on in games when he is out wide.

  • Be good if we can finally crawl over the safety line today so we can actually enjoy the last few games without stress!

It’s not the points you make, it’s the know it all tone and constant negativity.

Not sure how many more times I can say that
