Good evening one and all

Welcome to our penultimate match at The Valley this season and the last one under the lights, Ipswich are here tonight in what will no doubt be a testing encounter, but then again plenty said the same thing when we travelled to Portman Rd in the reverse fixture which was another night match, and we all know how that one ended, Ipswich currently occupy third spot after a 2-2 draw with Middlesborough and will be trying to regain the second spot again after events last night, but then again we need the points just as urgently at the other end of the table…🤷‍♂️

TEAM NEWS…Harry Clarke is ineligible to play his parent club, while Kayne Ramsay will be assessed day-by-day after missing the Sheff Weds fixture, Ipswich will be without David Button, Conor Townsend and Ashley Young, though Wes Burns could return.

HEAD-TO-HEAD…We've clashed on 59 previous occasions, winning 21, Ipswich 25 and the remaining 13 meetings resulting in draws, we are the only side to have won at Portman Road this season, running out 3-0 victors in the reverse fixture thanks to goals from Sonny Carey, Macauley Gillesphey and Miles Leaburn, so double tonight, why not…

Robert Madley will oversee proceedings tonight….

TEAM…Nathan Jones has made eight changes for tonight's game…

Thomas Kaminski, Collins Sichenje, Macaulay Gillesphey, Jayden Fevrier, Conor Coventry, Joe Rankin-Costello, Charlie Kelman and Tyreece Campbell all return to the starting line-up.

Will Mannion, Reece Burke, Luke Chambers, Conor Coady, Sonny Carey, Matty Godden and Lyndon Dykes move to the bench, while Harry Clarke is ineligible to play against his parent club

The changes mean Sichenje, Lloyd Jones and Gillesphey are likely to make up a back three in front of Kaminski.

Fevrier and Amari’i Bell may operate as wing-backs with Coventry and Rankin-Costello joining captain Greg Docherty in midfield, behind Kelman and Campbell.

Luke Berry and Harvey Knibbs join the aforementioned seven on the substitutes bench.

Charlton: Kaminski; Sichenje, Jones, Gillesphey; Fevrier, Coventry, Rankin-Costello, Docherty (c), Bell; Kelman, Campbell

Subs: Mannion, Burke, Coady, Chambers, Berry, Carey, Knibbs, Godden, Dykes

That’s also going to be Fevrier up against Philogene right?

    Brilliant.

I want a draw from this! 1 point to see us safe and 1 point to help Ipswich on their way to second (Fck Millwall)

What with Hesgoal and Fawanews having been taken off-line, does anyone have a stream suggestion for the match, please?

Well I didn't expect that side at all. Bell at LWB feels so so risky. Surprised to see Kelman start when I don't see where he's getting any kind of service from
  • That’s diabolical 😂

Used Fawa for Wrexham yesterday and worked well.

    Unless it’s down since?

Hope he's just resting players for Saturday, because that is a dreadful starting 11.

It shows how far we have come that we can field a half decent side and such a strong bench, gives me real Madrid/man city vibes. COYR
