Got bullied for Bolton’s third goal

Tanto's chance was key and he opted to blast it as hard as possible. Sadly, you have to say not much finesse has been learned in a whole year from the 24/25 play-offs.
Tougher chance that it looked I think. Quite crowded and not much room to play with.

I want to see Kelman, Leaburn and Godden all turn up looking like Jesus in pre season, literally can get a huge advantage by just having long hair as an attacker now it’s ridiculous.

Yes and no. I think Stockport would have struggled. Bolton look like they’ll be fine.

I don't think he got bullied, he did get outsmarted though. Wrapped the striker up so he couldn't go up for the header or turn but didn't reckon with the acrobatics. Reminds me a bit of that backheel Thierry Henry scored against us; Fortune was so busy making sure Henry couldn't turn and get away from him he forgot to actually defend against the ball
  • What a tough Championship next season, only Lincoln will look out of place.

Looking at that Bolton team it still has a lot of work to be done to be competitive. Can’t see them spending loads either.

Will be hoping they don’t have Cozier-Duberry back as that weakens them significantly.

The 1 goal he scored for us (that i remember) I swear it was a bloody awful finish that was lucky the goalie overran it as he hit it right at him. Zero composure I'm afraid.

Think Bolton will struggle next season and don’t expect them to spend big in the summer. Think we will be down there too

Would’ve been more confident in Stockport / Challinor figuring it out than Bolton / Schumacher imo.

Bolton are historically bigger and feel less out of place as an entity, but I think they need more signings this summer than Stockport would’ve.

Probably just me but football seems to be discrimateray. Have dreadlocks & you get a penalty. Have short hair and you don't. And seeing as white players dont have the type of hair that can be made into dreadlocks then   ????

Is there anything saying a player can't wear hair extensions to give him that advantage??

We really do need to strengthen quite a bit.......

Yeah sheff united away was in the away end thought he'd messed it up tbh but was a great moment, agreed though for a striker his composure is not at our level I'm afraid.

Hull followed the Nathan Jones playoff template - zero conceded and a 1-0 win in the final.

They’ve shown what can be achieved at this level with dominating possession or playing exciting attacking football.
Except they do counter with pace and urgency. We don’t. That has to be the aim. Too often this
season it was slow with zero creativity on the counter.
Well yeah everyone knows we need to improve going forward, but there had been this idea that you have to play a certain way to do well in this league. We need better players and that would naturally lead to better football and scoring more goals. Keeping clean sheets can still be a priority.
    Agree.
This talk that 'if Hull can do it even we can' (with whatever tweaks) is a bit ahead of ourselves i think. NJ needs at least another season to prove he hasn't already reached his ceiling with us i think.

Then the football has to be worthy, significantly better than Hull's in terms of consistency.

(And on top of that i want to go up with Lennie Lawrence in charge who showed that quality leadership WITH a low budget is a recipe for success. And not via the play-offs, or in second place with a limp finish like Curbs was famous for).

Not getting ahead of anything really, it’s not like we haven’t done it against the odds before I seem to remember, we have to have the attitude we can go up, what’s the point otherwise?, if we don’t and stay up people like yourself will be more than happy, 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Vintage post. Superb.

Resign Lyndon Dykes, make him play in a wig and we’ll be up by Christmas.

'Football is racist against white people because black people keep getting their hair pulled' is an outstandingly mad take away from today's Playoff final and a testament to Charlton Life's ability to keep surprising me

For the away travellers a shame Bolton went up, it is a pity Stockport did not do it. Much easier and quicker to get to if going by train, and a fantastic place for a beer.
