Best player Lloyd Jones by a mile, worst probably Onel Hernandez; hardly played and was out of position when he did but cost us a point against Wrexham and was pretty disastrous against Saints. Brought nothing positive.

Carey in the first half of the season was important enough to outstrip my expectations of him being backup to Knibbs. Olaofe was the biggest disappointment, I thought he’d push TC out of that spot cutting in from the left with much more power but he was undynamic and static when he did play and cried back off to Stockport first chance he got.

Best game was surely Ipswich away. Blackburn at home we were great but going to Portman Road, absorbing their best shot and then putting three past them was incredible. Worst game logically could be Southampton but at least that was funny. Millwall away was gutless throughout and the collapse at the end just validated the performance. Honourable mention to Portsmouth at home.

    Our Best Player?
Lloyd Jones, who's been a top 5 championship defender IMO

    Our Worst Player?
This is difficult, because most of them have been patchy, or or haven't had much of a chance, or had great effort at least, but I'm going to say Tanto, as unfortunately for all his endeavour, he looked gassed after 10 mins of running, and really fluffed the couple of chances he had. The fact he can't get off the bench back at Stockport where they absolutely love him, speaks volumes.

Player who most exceeded your expectations?
Toss up between Carey and Coady. Carey came with little fanfare and Blackpool warned us he's just had a purple patch and he'll be useless, but that wasn't the case. He tailed off a lot in the second half of the season, but still ended up top scorer.
Coady came with derision and eye rolling from a lot of fans, yet another has been on astronomical wages looking for an easy ride and picking up his cheques, like so many we've seen before him, and he turned out to be a talisman in our time between his signing and today, only losing 2 games with him in the side, a crucial goal to seal all 3 points at Boro, and putting his body on the line.

Player who most undelivered on your expectations?
Another tough one, Kaminski has a lot of clean sheets for a keeper that didn't look all that, but he was also the keeper for a Luton team that suffered back to back relegations, so I didn't expect a huge amount. Burke I knew about his injury problems before, so I kind of expected him to constantly be out, Knibbs was unfortunate with injuries, JRC constantly wasn't picked despite looking half decent when coming on...

Either Apter, who I thought would be the answer to "who will replace Small?" Or Ramsay, who I thought would handle the step up to the championship with absolute ease.

    Best Game?
Ipswich away, we blew them away in the end

    Worst Game?
Millwall away, where we barely turned up and died without so much of a whimper.

Worst player has to be Jerome roussillon no? Or does he come under the club legend category?

Our Best Player? Lloyd Jones - by a country mile - consistently excellent and will work through any pain barrier for the team.

Our Worst Player? Tanto - but not necessarily his fault, can only think he was a punt that just did not pay off.

Player who most exceeded your expectations? Carey - looked good in his highlights for Blackpool but had feared the step up may have been a challenge - he may not have been consistent across the entire season but scored 8 very good goals and will have learnt a lot from this season.

Player who most undelivered on your expectations? Kaminski - had read that he sticks to his line a lot BUT had also understood him to be a metahuman shot stopper. He has been OK but expected more hence why he gets the nod.

Best Game? Sheff Utd away - was all set up for their Messiah Wilder’s homecoming and we pissed on their chips in the last minute. Was a fantastic day out and result. It marginally outshone Ipswich away for me but don’t know why.

Worst Game? Millwall at home. Millwall away 🤔 Millwall at home I think as we bottled the three points in the 88th minute after Kayne’s Jester routine. The away game was an utter car crash but home game felt even more frustrating as we were oh so close to those three points.

    Roll on 26-2027!

  • Our Best Player?
    Jones - commanding

    Our Worst Player?
Hernandez - didn't work, did it

Player who most exceeded your expectations?
Coady - but that's on me, not him - exemplary attitude

Player who most undelivered on your expectations?
Knibbs - again, that's on me - but hoping he will kick on next season

    Best Game?
Hull at home - great goals & performance. Though I enjoyed seeing my boy dish out the "who are ya"s to the Ipswich home support.

    Worst Game?
Millwall away - say no more

Best player: Lloyd Jones by a country mile
Worst player: Don't have a clear answer and don't want to single any one out
Player exceeding expectations: Sonny Carey (at least, early on)
Player missing expectations: Godden and Edwards, both through protracted injuries.
    Best game: Ipswich away
    Worst game: Southampton at home
