Who are your favourite film villain voices, not necessarily the best villain, but a voice which works well and you’ve enjoyed on screen.
A few to start with.
Anthony Hopkins (Hannibal Lecter, Silence of the Lambs)
Sean Harris (Solomon Lane, Mission Impossible 5-6)
Jeremy Irons (Scar, The Lion King)
Ian McDiarmid (Emperor Palpatine, Star Wars multiple films)

I’m not even a Star Wars fan, but can’t believe you didn’t mention James Earl Jones11

George Sanders voicing Shere Khan in The Jungle Book.6
-
Alan Rickman - Die Hard7
-
James Earl Jones - hands down. Nobody else even comes close IMO.4
-
Heath Ledger as The Joker. Loved his ability to go from that haunting laugh to scarily aggressive in a second.4

A couple of computer villains for your consideration:
The anonymous man who played Alpha 60 in Alphaville
And of course, Douglas Rain as HAL 90000 -

Tom Hardy doing Bane was class
James Earl Jones being the baddest man in the known galaxy as Darth Vader

I thought his Bane was a bit silly to be honest although if Alfie Solomon (Peaky Blinders) counts as a villain, I'd nominate Hardy in that role. Still loses to JEJ though.Carter said:Tom Hardy doing Bane was class

James Spader is very sinister as Ultron in whichever Avengers film.Raul Julia in Street Fighter, absolutely atrocious film punctuated by sensational scenery chewing from the man in his final film performance0

Vincent Price7

The silliness made it a bit more iconic. Its a voice like scooby-doo that anyone can have a stab at and be passableRizzo said:

Javier Bardem: No Country for Old Men4

Christopher Lee as Saruman in Lord Of The Rings. Probably Christopher Lee in anything to be fair, but Saruman specifically was known for his compelling voice so I'm picking that for particular focus.2

Just to reinforce James Earl Jones' position, here's Darth Vader without his iconic voice.

Perhaps they should have got James Earl Jones to do the Green Cross Code ads as well....😄Rizzo said:Just to reinforce James Earl Jones' position, here's Darth Vader without his iconic voice.
