And whatever Forest paid for Delap they were robbed. Hes absolutely useless2
-
Forest only have themselves to blame here.
Wasteful up front and calamitous at the back.2 -
Forest should have been 3 or 4 nil up before Palace scored. Numpties.

Whats with the Banana's in the Scamchester City end?0

Was just about to ask the sameJohnBoyUK said:Whats with the Banana's in the Scamchester City end?
Anyone ?0 -
Even with everything that’s gone on….I’m still struggling to want Liverpool to win 😆5
-
Was also going to ask about the bananas but googled it and got this.
Manchester City fans use inflatable bananas as a historic symbol of support. The tradition is making an emphatic return at today's match against Liverpool as a defiant show of solidarity following recent independent commission verdicts.

Oh they're such quirky loveable rogues! Such a shame if they were fucking wiped from existenceO-Randy-Hunt said:Was also going to ask about the bananas but googled it and got this.

Man City should be rewarded for services to football .
any club stopping Chelsea , Arsenal , Liverpool etc from winning silverware and making those clubs fans suffer deserve nothing but the highest praise.
thank you Man City

Regardless of the Man City drama, I was still cheering them on against Liverpool. As @oohaahmortimer says, if they’re taking points off the annoying, entitled “big” teams, that’s fine by me.
Whatever happens to Man City in the end, Liverpool will still have zero points from today, so crack on City.4 -
Good to see the bananas in the City end. All proper old skool fans will recognise them and why the City faithful had them out today - loved seeing them1

Shocked some olduns on here don’t remember inflatables at games, and famously bananas at Man City

Watching Liverpool without Salah, Jota(RIP) Diaz, Trent AA and without the injured Gakpo, Ekitike, Szoboszial (free kick king)and Isak it was men against boys and a total mismatch.
Victor Munoz had a lively game but the difference in class was immense.
Unlike the manic Pep, Enzo Maresca doesn't have to scream at his players as if they are kids as he knows the whole squad are class.
Really bizarre situation where the cheats at Chelsea under Abramovich who was money laundering for decades and allowed to get away with it are going to go from strength to strength while City who have cheated on an industrial scale will be punished will what ? Play Fleetwood on a Tuesday night !
The Premier League stinks where with minimal checks it was clear that Man city have driven several coaches through the profit and sustainability rules (PSR)
There should've been red flags when City spent 130 million on 3 full backs back in 2017 with Walker, Mendy and Danilo. They were record amounts for full backs and they have continued to spend big with 125 and 116 million for Fernandez and Anderson even after they knew they had been found out.
Arrogance means you never have to say you are sorry.

I enjoyed watching the match for that reason aloneSuedeAdidas said:Even with everything that’s gone on….I’m still struggling to want Liverpool to win 😆1 -
That's a valid point and eloquently put.oohaahmortimer said:Man City should be rewarded for services to football .

BUT ...
The FA Cup Final 2025 erases all of that goodwill and then some. For that match alone Man City deserve to be wiped from existence.7 -
This season should be like how certain ancient cultures would sacrifice a young man to the gods, but allow him to live for a year as a king first. Let them have a glorious farewell tour, let them win the lot, then end them forever.
Then strip them of all their trophies2 -

I remember the inflatable Bananas from the 80s but don't get the link. Is it going back to when Man City were sh*t or something?kinveachyaddick said:Good to see the bananas in the City end. They were shit but it comes from a player called Imre Varadi who they nicknamed Imre Banana.JohnBoyUK said:

I presume they had them yesterday to remind the 96ers that football existed long before Sky/Euro 96/premier league and that they’re a team with proper heritage who existed long before Abi Dhabi and will exist long afterwards.JohnBoyUK said:

(although if I was Hungarian I'd still find it a bit off tbh)1

Varadi had a Hungarian father and Italian mother but was born in London. I'm probably even more "Hungarian" (both parents came here in 1956 and I was born in Bromley Hospital). I was called Gary Goulash at school and regarded that as a term of endearment. Even if I hate goulash!!!Leuth said:(although if I was Hungarian I'd still find it a bit off tbh)0 -
