Anyone on here fit air conditioning units?
If anyone on here fits them personally or knows someone who does, we're looking for some quotes on getting air con installed in our flat in Charlton. It has to be permanent units though, not a portable unit with a workaround.
I'll go through more details with anyone that comes forward, as it's a new build block of flats so we've been told there's some caveats to what we are allowed to do etc.

my brother in law has his own Air Con company, lives local and has just fitted a unit in our converted garage / dog salon.sam3110 said:If anyone on here fits them personally or knows someone who does, we're looking for some quotes on getting air con installed in our flat in Charlton. Lady up our road in Westcombe Park had aircon fitted today and posted on our street whatsapp group.
She really rated this guy and has recommended him to the whole road:
'Hey just wanted to say I got air conditioning done by Darek yesterday and I’m really impressed with both the system and the service. :-) another one to add to the good trades list x'DAREKPLUMBER07944 024829
He seems to work for a company and has a van plastered with aircon pictures etc but you can contact him directly.1 -
Is it leasehold? If so, I'd be interested to see how you get on with it as the freeholder wasn't very supportive when we enquired about installation1

Had it done. LG system. They put a box on the wall outside and drill through the wall. We have 2 boxes and 4 internal units cooling/heating various rooms. Couldn’t do without it but there maybe a clause in your lease preventing external units etc. speak to your solicitor and then your freeholder1

We have a balcony and as that's not deemed an external wall as it's recessed, it's allowed to be placed on that, so it's all good. It's more just working out the logistics and pricing now0
