People will take the piss for the usual reasons but Emma Hayes has been decent - more insight that Dixon in commentary.
It’s like they’ve forgotten women can know things about football
She’s a bloody brilliant coach. Nothing to prove.

We look very good going forward but a decent attacking team will crucify us
Given how we've gone forward, it'll probably end 7-7
France vs. Norway / Spain vs. Uruguay / Portugal vs. Colombia / Argentina vs. Austria will be our rivals real tests

    Fantastic second half

But for their keeper having a blinder we'd have absolutely thrashed them.

I love Pickford but he’s been seriously ropey today
He looks pink hot and flustered like he hasn’t acclimatised yet.

It’s kind of like he’s on his first foreign holiday. 😄

Fara Williams is one of my favourite pundits. Not seen her out there though.

Wait until he isn’t playing in an air conditioned stadium

    this is a statement performance
To be fair we usually start tourneys with a statement performance.

    The statement being:

    "We're shite and over-hyped"

A really good second half performance. Nerves out the way and played them off the park in spells.

Worth remembering that this is one of the hardest group games anyone will face this tournament.

    Pleased for Rashford too.

21 shots, 11 on target, 4 goals. Yeah I'd say we are dangerous.

Dallas & Sunderland are famously very similar 😂

Can see why clubs are going to spend huge amounts on Elliott Anderson, quality

James has looked very good in the middle, he’s a baller.

That's as good a half as I've ever seen england play in a tournie against decent oppo

I'd get Mainoo on. We're gonna need his legs in CM at some point so let's get him into the tournament early.

Out of subs after bringing Stones off for Guehi

Ahh yeah. So used to friendlies when it's unlimited subs.

Our midfield options are up there with the best in the tournament. If we can just settle ourselves at the back we will be very very dangerous to anyone

We cant... Had all three sub breaks, not to mention we've made all five changes

To be fair after a ropey start we've been very strong at the back this half. If the coaching staff can get that level of improvement out of them after just one halftime team talk I'm confident with some more coaching ahead of the next stage and a bit more familiarity on the pitch things will look at lot better

The normal response to that would be "ah, but can they do it on a cold and wet Tuesday night in Stoke?" but given the temperatures out there it's more likely to be:

"On a hot summer night would you offer your throat to the wolf with the red roses?"

While Spence has been far more dynamic as an attacking right back. Definitely an option against weaker teams, as we don't want to overplay James.

I like the fact Tuchels no.2 was fuming at halftime, looks like TT let them have it.

Rashford there doing the old 'give him a shit pass so he has to give it back to me' trick there. Bastard.
