Gordon finally takes on his man and breezes past him to win a free kick

We’ve got Dan Burn for that

I'm surprised at how easily our set pieces have been nullified given that Tuchel has talked about what a big part of our tournament they will be. All it's really taken is a packed box and we've struggled to get the ball anywhere near an England player

Some of you need to go to bed

We watch this most weeks, its hard to play against brings set pieces into play, makes good players do stupid things out of frustration, disrupts any flow. They are starting to look a bit ragged and blowing Ghana. Ayew was blowing out of his arse in the first half and Partey is always due to do something moronic not that he should even be in the country let alone on the pitch

I agree the wingers have not been in the game but these two have no space to attack and are being doubled up on every time they recieve the ball and they have to recieve it to feet which isn't where wingers should be receiving the ball

Ghana are giving away tired fouls and are starting to lose their shape. Couple of fresh legs on for us and we can really stretch them

Thought we should have shot from the last one, especially where it looked all set for the cross, catch the keeper off guard.

Madueke is literally the English TC - can dribble a bit but never looks like he is going to actually produce a goal or assist.

It's the risk Tuchel has taken. Do you go with two similar players bringing pace and being able to cut in on the each wing or do you go with one of those and one wide 10 who can unlock a defence? Tuchel has gone with being able to bring pace on for pace but this is one of those games where someone like Foden or Palmer having a moment of creative genius against a deep block might have made a big difference. I think Tuchel's planned for the big games where teams will be looking to attack us rather than these sort of stodgy ones

Fuck me Pickford so lucky there, missed the ball entirely and clears him out. Surprised VAR didn't look at a potential red

Would have been a yellow for Pickford anyway I think

Two good headed chances have fallen to Saka and Anderson instead of Kane, Bellingham etc.

The striker caught Pickford with his foot up tbf, thought it was a very good call from the ref.

But also thought Pickford was very lucky thay happened as he'd completely ballsed it up.

Trent would have an excellent right back option today. James has offered nothing going forward, in an attack vs defence type of game.
