There are hourly trains from Paddington, at 32 minutes past the hour and take two hours.
Much to my surprise there are trains on the way home, the 20.03 and 21.05 are direct and again take two hours, the 21.32 is the last train which involves a change at Swindon but there is only a ten minute change.
The 20.03 is impossible to get unless you have a taxi back. Having said that, the station is around 4 miles from the ground so will necessitate a taxi regardless assuming there are not many buses at that time of night.
The super off-peak return is £71.00 before any railcard discounts.

Think you did though more than welcome to buy another. Quite how I managed to sort 100 odd people into post codes so taxis could take the easiest route still baffles me to this very day!3

I don't know which railway station people are looking at, but Cheltenham Spa is only 2 miles from the ground.0

Having moved up here 10 years ago and having a season ticket for the robins now I can enlighten you a bit about drinking around here, Cheltenham have a small social club,Robins nest, and away fans are usually welcome, just outside the robins nest is a portable bar with some seating and shade, for the bigger games and if available they use the bowling club car park as an away fans area, it is right next to the away turnstiles, the 2 wetherspoons pubs are only 5 minutes away from each other in the town about 20 mins walk to the ground, near the railway station is the Deya brewery which is also good with plenty of seating, hope this helps.4
