The winner of the round is tied between myself (a win for Brazil against Japan (1.7), a win for Mexico against Ecuador (2.1), and a win for Portugal against Croatia (1.85)) and @last_line (a win for Brazil against Japan (1.7), a win for Mexico against Ecuador (2.1), and a win for Switzerland against Algeria (1.85)), both netting £66.04.

@jimmymelrose still leads overall and has returned in every round so far.

Collectively we'd have been up £104.78 this week with the real bookie. Across the tournament we're up £565.2 overall.

The best possible treble was: a Draw in Argentina vs Cape Verde (7.5), a Draw in Germany vs Paraguay (4.8), and a Draw in Netherlands vs Morocco (3.1). A £10.00 treble on this returned £1116.00.

The Rules

  • Each round a selection of games will be posted up.
  • You will be given a virtual tenner to put on either a single, double or treble.
  • Simply post your bet from the selections and we'll work out everyone's virtual winnings/losses.
  • If you don't use your bet you get -£10 for that round for competition purposes.
  • Anyone joining part way through will start on the same balance as the lowest in the competition.
  • Any bets affected by postponements will be settled using remaining selections. If all selections are cancelled you will get a £20 stake for the next round.
