    Ah, the delay in ticket sales makes sense.

    Charlton want to sell more season tickets and Derby tickets... so they're giving folk the opportunity to collect more loyalty points by making these purchases... supposedly giving them a better chance of buying a Spurs ticket.

    Even though it's unlikely to make any difference to anyone's chances.

    Ha - yes, all points are deserved, that's fine. My point was the club are giving people the false impression 10 points for a Derby ticket will give them a better chance of buying a Spurs ticket, when it won't make any difference to the phase they come in at. Apart maybe from 1% of people in the penultimate phase, which may not even be reached anyway.

    And while they correctly want to shift season tickets,  even the 230 isn't going to move you up much.

    At least we have more at Spurs, but as the West Ham game showed, a lot of fans will have the season ticket points for 2 seasons and a  couple of games on top.

    Exactly. Thousands of people needlessly delay making their travel bookings, book time off work, etc, until next week - i.e. once they know they have a Spurs ticket.

    All to carry out a disingenuous sales tactic.

    Great draw - hopefully makes up a bit for missing out on West Ham tickets - assuming with last 2 years season tickets and 3 away games last year, I should stand a chance of getting one ? Any views ? I was on holiday for West Ham and didn’t analyse it too much as knew I wouldn’t qualify in the first 3000 but I would guess at nearly 6k, I will ?

    Are you really counting this as a new ground ?  They haven't moved anywhere just expanded the footprint. They are still in White Hart Lane.

    My umbridge is the false representation that 10 extra loyalty points will make an ounce of difference - the delay may have other factors besides this, that's a fair point.

    I was only thinking earlier that I hope that they arent physical tickets. I don't have enough points to get any before they go on general sale so would be relying on a family member higher up the queue to get me 2. Then the logistics of getting the tickets to me. Last time they screenshotted them 2 me, but not sure if I'd want to risk that with away tickets.

    Based on your likely points total, you might just miss the 'or Valley Gold' phase, if West Ham is a guide. The 'or Valley Gold' stage for that game also included those on 570 points. Certainly, check your points total and if you think you have points missing, phone or email the club to correct matters, one missing game may make a difference for you and get you in the phase before the '460 points' one.

    But I think you'll be fine - as long as you arrive promptly for whatever sales phase you end up in.

    Found this online for PL games, so i guess it would be the same for cup games too.

    Away fans visiting Tottenham Hotspur Stadium are issued digital tickets by their own club, which must be downloaded to a smartphone wallet (Apple Wallet or Google Wallet). Digital ticketing is standard for visiting supporters, and paper tickets are only used under exceptional circumstances.

    Key Details for Visiting Fans:

    • Delivery: Your own club's ticket office handles the distribution. They will email you a digital download link during the week leading up to the match.

    And Wimbledon pre season friendly this year away tickets were digital. I have no idea why this can’t be the case for all away games

    It's pretty simple.

    Option 1 - person A downloads both digital tickets and transfers one to person B.
    Option 2 - person A scans his phone at the barrier and person B walks through. Person A then scans his second ticket and walks through himself.

    It's no different to booking flights for your family and having all their boarding passes sent to one email.
