Champions League 26/27

  • Ridiculous game, PSG once again showing that they're going to be the team to beat in the CL.

In the space of a week they've beaten the PL leaders and La Liga leaders both 4-2.
Being able to rotate their best players for league matches is a massive advantage though. Their best players have far fewer league minutes than those playing in more competitive leagues, and as a result are fresher.

Barca, who have an injury crisis, play Real Madrid this weekend, hence they benched Rodri yesterday.
Rotating didn't help them much last night though, they lost Dembele to injury in the first half, then Marquinhos and Kvaratskhelia early in the second half.

Nothing confirmed yet but there's early rumours that Kvaratskhelia has done his ACL and his season is done.

A real shame to see Kvaratskhelia do his ACL last night. One of the players I most enjoy watching.
  • Carrick will be gone soon. United's players look like they simply don't give a shit.

Maguire stood off his man who curled in the first goal and for the second Como just passed through them like they were a bunch of cones on the training pitch.

Must be especially concerning because he was sort of a vibes/gets the club style appointment meant to raise the mood
  • 3-0 now and if Como don't ease up this could be 5 or 6.

Surely the end of Carrick? Even if I don't truly know who they'd appoint as a replacement.

Might even be gone by tomorrow at this rate.

  • As bad as United have been, Como have played some good football. I've been impressed with Nico Paz and if he keeps this form up, I'd be surprised if Real Madrid don't activate their buyback clause next summer.

Conte under this ownership would be a car crash but would be entertaining
  • Saw them linked with Hurzeler last week, but i hope he doesn't go there. I get that any manager will be attracted by the salary and back themselves to be the one to turn things around but realistically it would just be career suicide.
  • Eddie Howe for United?

    Arsenal have been excellent
  • This Bayern side is totally built around their front 3 (which has a case for being the best in the world) and Musiala, and 3 of them are't playing, so we're not going to see the usual Bayern here. Kimmich is missing as well.
  • Great ball from Kane.

United are on a bad run, after tonight Fernandes has shown there is clearly an issue with him and the manager and he has gone public.

His actions are everything that is wrong with high end football and the players dictate.

Of course it would never happen, but if I was Carrick I would tell the Potuguese c*** to take the next month's training sessions and pick the teams to play and see the results.

He only has to look at a former Brighton manager in Graham Potter to see how his career has bombed since leaving.

Player can says whatever he wants... But the fact that Man Utd have been a mess of a club to run since Ferguson left, its time that the players started to look at themselves, and it not be an endless revolving issue with whoever the Manager is

Villa become the second fastest team to win 20 Champions League matches.

One game more than Real Madrid

To be fair, their squad is pretty shit. Their recruitment since Fergie left has been abusmal. They're better than where they are in the table at the moment, but not miles better

*Edit. Apologies. Gone a year early, AfcB in Champions League next season.....

The Cherries really playing well against AC Milan, 2~0 at half~time.
2 penalties, both scored by 2 different players, the 2nd given after the 'keeper pushed Adams in the face with 2 hands and was sent off.
