    Went to West ham and yesterday and in both games only the home team line up was announced prior to kick off. Is it a premier league thing. Or a opposition wind up.

    Yeah .i didnt notice at west ham cos i knew all the players.didnt know who half our team was .a bit pissed off tbey didnt even show it on a screen

    We announce the home team only and then sometimes throw a graphic up on the big screen of the opposition starting XI.  Not always.  Most PL clubs do it that way now.

    Out on the concourse, there are loads of screens in the south that has both line ups on it and hour before kick off.

    Oh special mention to say it was nice to see @AFKABartram, @WSS and @Ketman in Hamilton Hall pre-game yesterday and the really nice fella with the beard who always says hello with the biggest smile but I can never remember his real name or username (apologies my friend, I'm proper sh*t with names)

    Hopefully that will be my last ever visit to WHL mk2. Journey there & back was thus -

    Bus to Grove Park
    Train to London Bridge 
    Change for Cannon St
    Tube from Cannon St to Liverpool St  
    Liverpool St to WHL.

    Northumberland Park to Stratford 
    Stratford to Lewisham (DLR)
    Bus from Lewisham home.

    Included in that was what seemed like miles of endless walking between platforms/ train lines. 30 min queue just to get into NP station & upon entering there was then a mazy walk up a slope to get to a footbridge......followed by a walk down again onto the platform. Then another endless walk around Stratford station to get the DLR. Then a 20 min wait for the bus. Home at 00.35 - some 3 hrs after the game had ended. 

    And they want you to give up the car for public transport. 

    You should have gone Tottenham Hale.  I haven't used WHL or NP to get home in years.  Far far too many people and queues.

    My daughters Charlton supporting boyfriend came with me last night.  He left on 78 minutes as he's got a really dodgy knee at the moment which needs an op and he was worried about having to walk/stand on it in the crowds.  He went to NP to get back to Liverpool St.

    I left on 91 mins, and was walking down the steps to Park Lane as the final whistle went.  I done the walk back to Tottenham Hale in 23 mins.  Was planning on going Viccy Line back to Victoria but wife messaged to tell me to meet her in Canary Wharf and she'd drive home so jumped on the first train to Liverpool St for the Viccy Line.  Only had to wait 2 mins for the first train to come in and it was empty.  Back to Liverpool St in 15 mins and I bumped into the daughters boyfriend talking to my daughter on the Viccy Line platform, despite him leaving early and taking the shorter walk to NP.

    Game finished around 9:35 didn't it?  I met my Mrs in CW at 10:25.  I thought that was bloody good tbh.  Had I gone back to Victoria, I would have made the early fast train back to Bromley South.
    Sadly a 23 min walk would probably take me 45 mins.

    Left on 85 minutes, sons rented a couple of those electric bikes. We got down the High St to Seven Sisters in front of the masses and got home in decent time.

    Not really saying anything new here but we are a football team with a paid staff to do their best. To entertain,  to win, to commit and to make fans proud. Put those things in your own order. And of course, add others.

    Personally,  i am very uncomfortable with the team last night  Do I understand the team selection? Of course. But I think we are close to losing the plot.

    A professional football team put out a team that can't win, in the hope of brighter days. People have paid good money to watch and support. Not sure I can I get behind that.  And we have been here before. Should we beat Preston, some may say so what, but people are hard up, have no money and entertainment is hard fought these days.  Feels out of touch to me.

    Well unless I am going bonkers I am sure they announce the away team first and then ours at the valley... Will observe on Saturday.

    I was in the upper stand behind the goal, and from where I was standing both of Spurs first two goals were a bit odd. Alli slipped on the edge of our area, which allowed Moore an unhindered shot for the first (which went straight through Brooks' hands), and the second only happened because Ouma (I think) pulled out of heading a bouncing ball because a Spurs player took a swing at it. I reckon that might have been overturned by VAR had it been in operation. I saw it at the time and I've just watched the highlights and you can clearly see it. The Spurs player looked a bit sheepish afterwards. It was a shame because we'd battled so hard to stay in the game.
    Overall it was a strange night, with the view being the only plus. Yes, nice stadium, but getting away afterwards was rubbish.
    Already have butterflies for the Preston game.

    Taken a while to get back home to give my thoughts on the Spurs debacle.
    Firstly, let me say that i am very pro Nathan - to think of where we were languishing in L1 when he took over to where we are now is a fantastic achievement and he has provided us with several highs during that time.
    However, his decision to rotate ALL of the #1 team was a disgrace and downright disrespectful to all of the fans who went to WHL, some of whom had spent a fortune to attend.
    I live in Devon, and it takes 6 hours to get to WHL from my place outside of Exeter - so my son and I started very early on Wednesday morning, and arrived at the ground only to find out about Jones's decision.
    Spending approx 100 pounds in fuel, plus ticket prices plus hotel, plus other sundries , and the total cost to me (i am paying for my son too) is roughly 300 notes -i saw some of the German Addicks at the match so i dont know how much they've spent? -  all to watch the B team get totally outclassed (expected) by a Prem team .
    Now, i was expecting some rotation , maybe 4/5, but not 11 and i was very disappointed primarily for my son , who i am trying to make sure is one of the next generation of Addicks - at least he come out at end saying WE were shit rather than THEY.

    Carrying on the rant, it also confirmed what a shithole Tottenham/North |London is.
