Very happy with this move, always exciting to sign a young player with promise that you have never heard of so have to pre conceived view on.

In addition, it shows to me that our scouting has continued to widen and develop as this is simply not the sort of signing we would have made for 10 years previously where we looked pretty much solely UK (and for some yrs just had Gallen begging Palace to give us kids on loan).

Going to be some bad spellings of his surname if he ever makes a senior appearance

    Bad and unfortunately scurrilous

Quite a striking resemblance to Emily van Egmond. If you told me they were related I would not doubt it for a second
  • Potentially quite an exciting development.

    Welcome Otto.
Talking of names, years ago there was a study by Canadian academics that found first and second names with two syllables followed by three syllables tended to be successful people in life.
    Like Alan Curbishley.

He has an equal number of vowels and consonants in his name, I predict a great future for him.
I hope he won't be under consonant pressure from Reece, what with his 3 vowels.

    Welcome!

It's like the club have realised that 'additional investment' is more likely to come from developing young talent and selling them for £20m+. That would have seemed like a lot a decade ago but.....

Him and Gough in the middle in a few years with mwamba or fuller!
  • It’s a YouTube video but he looks composed and has time on the ball. Welcome Otto.

Interesting he's been playing mens football since he was 16. He does look comfortable on the ball.

Got no room in your first team squad but are still obsessed with transfers? No problem, sign random foreign wonder kids to your youth teams!

Welcome Otto, hope you smash it and we make the deal permanent.

It's almost traditional to spell players names incorrectly.
  • As far as I can tell, he might be only the second player to have three I's in his surname. The last one was Bradley Wright-Phillips. Let's hope Otto is better than Sean Clare (and Ricky Otto, to be honest).
  • How were we able to do this after deadline day?

Assume the “deal sheet” was submitted on or before Tuesday night and we’ve been waiting on approval/clearance since.

Won’t be that, he isn’t going to play competitive senior football so the window doesn’t matter

Wasn’t there something about any loans, even for u21s, have to be added to the 25 man squad numbers
