Can see us being right up for this 3-1. Would like to see Alli and Costello in for Carey and Grant or maybe even Knibbs given a chance.0

Don't say things like that or Wolfgang will be on your case. 🙄TD_Addick said:Can see us being right up for this 3-1. Would like to see Alli and Costello in for Carey and Grant or maybe even Knibbs given a chance.2 -
Torn between 0-2, or 0-3. Will go all in on a Portsmouth -1 handicap win, and be super happy to lose the bet.2

They've had a nice rest. Suspect that will tell1

No carey no knibbs and we’ll be ok0

I was extremely disappointed that okonkwo didn't come up for the last minute corner against QPR so he owes me one on Saturday.
1-0 to us okonkwo header in the last minute5 -
I still have faith Jude Knibbsingham and Bukayo Sakapter will come good.southamptonaddick said:

LOL. You have been sustaining a one-man campaign to give Knibbs a chance. The only argument in favour of that is, as you say, that he can hardly be any worse than Carey, Rankin-Costello or Apter, all of who have played more recently than him. Hell, yeah, let him play, if only to shut you up.king addick said:Surely Knibbs deserves a chance? Carey isn't doing it and for some reason JRC can't influence a game from the off. The 10 role is our biggest issue the moment and I can't see why Knibbs shouldn't have a crack. He can't be no worse so let him earn his place.

Bindon was a weak link against QPR, so I would play Bell, but only if Bell is fully fit. Leave Mesik at LB, his best position. I do believe Bindon will come good for us, but it seems he needs a few weeks to settle in properly. He is only 21, younger than Asiimwe, for example.sam3110 said:OkonkwoMcNamara Jones Bindon MesíkCoventry SkippAlli Grant CampbellLeaburn

No, I am not alright. It has been friggin' 90 degrees Fahrenheit or more every day since April. I am 86 and it is wearing me out. Sorry if I caused offence. I did put a smiley to indicate I was kidding. If Leaburn cannot start tomorrow, then I would not be against giving Knibbs a go, but with little enthusiasm. It just seems fair as others have been given chances they have not taken.king addick said:
You alright ? Bad day is it?
You moan about me asking for Knibbs to have a chance then effectively agree with me anyway? Make that make sense 🤣
Obviously took your bellend pill today enhancing the ability to have a pointless moan.1 -
Apart from having no strikers ?ProperCharlton said:I don't see any reason we can't win this one. 3-1. UTFA.1 -
I'd like to see McNamara coming back in & Mesik goes to left back.
Too soon for Mwamba to start but would like him to come on after 60 mins.
We really need to balance the team - fgs play Alli on the right & TC on the left. Grant can then play a slightly deeper role (as a 10) instead of Carey.
If we play an unbalanced team like Wed we will get the same result.....or worse.1 -
If we do start Grant in middle to cover injuries then Knibbs behind him to add physicality I could see.0

Fair enough, it didn't read as a joke but no problem. Apologies on my part in that case.wolfgang said:

Feel Knibbs athleticism might offer some different.1 -
I find the Knibbs situation puzzling. In view of the injury situation I can't understand why he has not got on the pitch since the Spurs debacle.4

Please no Carey.
But still think no Chalobah, no win.1 -
I keep thinking he must not be showing much in training, as you’d think with the injury problems we’ve had, he would at least have been given some time off the bench recently.Starinnaddick said:I find the Knibbs situation puzzling. It’s that chant we’ve got for him. It’s cursed him. We’ve had some crap chants over the years, but the one we’ve got for him is probably up there with the worst for meStarinnaddick said:I find the Knibbs situation puzzling. Agreed. I can’t even bring myself to sing it, change the record.cabbles said:

Almost impossible to forecast which Charlton team will turn up. We’ve been pretty much outplayed in our last three matches despite only one loss. Add in West Ham where we had very little possession and I think just as last season our problems stem from not having enough of the ball. I was hoping and thought we were going to address that this season but the pattern continues. We desperately need Chalobah back so I hope he’s close. Whatever the score it’s going to be another dour affair I suspect. 0 - 10

Feels a pivotal game already for us. Hoping for a hard fought 2-0 home win.5

If the absence of Chalobah is the deciding factor over whether we win or lose, we'll win about 3 more games all season...9
