Awful performance, I've never seen us so bad at the back.
Bell isn't with the other subs on the pitch, so will be coming on. I'd bring him on for the hopeless Alli and go 3 at the back.1 -
Just looking at the bench, who on earth can we bring on though who can do anything positive?
Only really Edwards (prob just a cameo), Bell possibly, or Kelman - and like Leaburn, the latter will be unable to get any service from our laboured, panicked, defensive-only "midfield". Chalobah is such a loss, but this was known, and there's no substitute.1 -
Alli is the most L1 looking player I've seen for a long time. Not sure why we signed him, especially after the failed signings from last summer.5

Alli aside (who is woeful), what the f@ck is Skipp?? All I’ve seen is a bloke jogging around at best, sitting deep, and even when he’s set to receive the ball looking forward he’s already on the half turn…….backwards!!! Every time!
Can’t figure out of he’s unfit, lacking in confidence, or doesn’t give a shit……or all of the above?2 -

The defence has been shocking since Bindon has come in.
The midfield is once again not effective. I like Skipp and Coventry individually but they are way too similar to play together. Neither of them want to drive into space.
Alli looks like a League One player who's used to turning over possession every few seconds without consequence. Grant has been woeful and not in the game at all. Leaburn totally isolated.
The only parts of this team that are working are Isaac and TC.0 -

Some smart subs here and abit of luck and we could definitely get back into this, Nkeng id like to see on for Alli with TC back on the left. Bell needs to come on or Edward’s and move Mesik into CB.
It’s been said all summer but I don’t know what you can do about that 10 spot as it’s a glaringly obvious issue, Carey isn’t playing well in this system, Grant I fear is too forward thinking to provide that link up with Coventry and Skipp and anyone else ‘suited’ I don’t really know how they’d perform. There’s just a huge gap and lack of forward options in the middle of the park and even when there is there’s a mentality to play it back and recycle the ball (the one time we play a forward ball through the middle TC scores!). Couple of instances that half where Skipp makes himself available to the wide players on the inside but the ball goes behind him.1 -

I’m really struggling to work out what our identity is. This is NJs third season in charge and there does not seem to be any discernible attacking patterns other than hit and hope.We’re meant to be built on defensive solidity but we’ve been found wanting time and time again.Additionally, the recruitment has been very disjointed, two left wingers signed when we already had TC, no starting rw brought in after seemingly chasing JRS for a long time. In conjunction with Apter and Oloafe who were complete busts. There just seems to be no cohesive move to achieve stability in this league.0
