Try and count all the different shirts at the game that are not involving the two teams.

Sadly no - was due to play a vets football match but we could only muster 10 players - age/ motivation is taking its toll on our squad of about 100 players !!!. The kids no longer play so no matches to watch there. Will have to spend the afternoon playing snooker and having a beer before watching the England game - not ideal, but could be worse.

Going to see Bexley verses Farnborough Old Boys Guild Saturday Vete's at Oxford road, both my sons are playing with lot's of players from there youth. We used to play against this team when they were in the South Alliance and had some great games. It's early in the year, and we are top having won both games, but  the surprising thing is I for one was amazed at the quality of football, I thought vet's football would be a load of old guys with beer bellies, could not be further from the truth. After a difficult start last year, we managed to get into a cup final, but were well beaten in May. We have strengthened the team and look a  well balanced side, with plenty of sub's. Playing in the pre-season was difficult with pitches not playable, so Astro was used.

I am not involved in managing the team, but great to see players that I managed and worked with over the decades, some have played for Bexley since they were at infant school ,as well as Erith147, as well as Bexley in the Kent Prem  and I wish I could have played at this present level, but I was never really good enough.

On Sunday may well see my grandson's first home  game at Cray Wanderer's, they took a beating last week, so hope to go and support him. Great to see kid's developing there talent , My son say's Cray are a very well run club.

You probably played Beaverwood in the South London Alliance as well?  We used to play Farnborough and a number of teams from Bexley.
  • Moved to Deal about a month ago so going to watch Ramsgate tomorrow. Went to Dover a few weeks ago and they were dire... A bit like most Charlton games. Attendance was also disappointing although those who were there seemed pretty passionate

Good ground is Leatherhead. You'll enjoy that.

And if it goes to a replay, Hanworth is a neat ground too.

Went to this with my (visiting from Germany) nephew in law. Nice little quirky ground and a good result.

Didn’t make it in time for the game but got a nice car for our daughter (plus I had the pleasure of bumping into @suzisausage in the cafe at lunchtime)!

Rushden and Diamonds v Braintree,  for me today,  crowd over over 1200 watched a good cup game,  2-1 Diamonds made it to the 4th qualifying round of the FA cup,  some much needed money in the tin and one win from the first round proper.

Great home win, very pleasant afternoon. Twickenham it ain't...thankfully...but still more posh boys and yummy mummies than your average Valley fixture..!🙂

I went to Virgin Media Park in Cork on Saturday to watch Ireland V Japan in women’s rugby.
Cracking game which Ireland won but Japan are a good side.
But what I loved the most was just how lovely the Japanese players were. Bowing coming on and off the field, bowing to their trainers, team mates, water carriers. Then at the end they all lined up in front of us in the main stand and collectively bowed and clapped us. Just the most polite set of girls, who were then more than happy to have photos and sign autographs with any of the youngs girls who waited for them.
An absolute credit to their country 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️

Can I just say I've loved the international break.  I have watched zero football for almost 3 weeks.
Spurs haven't made me feel ill once.  I think its the way forward! haha.

Maybe watch a re-run of last season's efforts.
Prepare you for what's to come.

Over the last few years I have been to watch Deal when at home to Chiselhurst Glebe or Sevenoaks when my son was/is involved with the sides. Deal alway played well and the atmosphere was decent. I have lots of family in the Deal and Ramsgate area.
Deal are struggling at the moment but normally are around the play off places in the South east division of the Isthmian league.
Made up of mainly Kent and Sussex teams plus a couple of teams from Surrey.
