12 out of 67 lifers got a return in week 8.

@oohaahmortimer is the weekly winner with picks of an away win for Chelsea against Everton (2.1), an away win for Liverpool against Brentford (2.8), and an away win for Wolverhampton Wanderers against Burnley (2.3), netting £135.24.

@oohaahmortimer leads overall.

Collectively we'd have been up £295.26 this week with the real bookie. Across the season we're down £1190.48 overall.

The best possible treble was: a Draw in Middlesbrough vs Cardiff City (4.5), a Draw in Southampton vs Bolton Wanderers (4.4), and an away win for Portsmouth against Norwich City (4.2). A £10.00 treble on this returned £831.60.

The Rules

  • Each week, a selection of games from the weekend's fixtures will be posted.
  • You will be given a virtual £10 to put on either a single, double or treble.
  • Simply post your bet from the available selections and we'll work out everyone's virtual winnings/losses over the season.
  • Bets must be posted before kick-off of the first match included in your bet. Once a match has kicked off, you cannot add, remove or change a selection involving that match. Failure to adhere to this will result in the bet being lost.
  • If you don't use your bet, you get -£10 for that week for competition purposes.
  • Anyone joining part way through the season will start on the same balance as the lowest in the competition.
  • Any bets affected by postponements will be settled using the remaining selections. If all selections are cancelled, you will get a £20 stake for the next round.

Good luck!

P.S. I will be abroad for 3 weeks from today. I’ve made an effort to make it possible for me to run BTB remotely but there is a chance that it doesn’t work. If that happens then I will find a way to get the odds up each week and calculate all the results when I’m back. Looking forward to watching the Norwich game from a bar in Hiroshima on Saturday anyway.
