Right, i need to know for sure what is going to happen after the game tomorrow re getting home. I need to be at Blackheath for half 7 ish for a meal its me old mums 60th birthday!

Is there any way to find out what the ob will do with us after, as if i drive and they put us on any old train i am proper stranded, as i am not too strong in the old choo choo department so might not be able to find my way back to the car via london bridge or whatever!! If they were to just let us know what they are planning then i will just get the train in the first place and not worry about parking up and hope for the best! I am in a bit of a predicament really! Anyone give any advice!

  • I would just get the train mate.
  • you wont leave the ground for a full hour after final whistle.
  • I reckon they'll keep us behind for a while but will be surprised if there's anything more than just a strong police presence outside the ground. Really can't see them marching us all back to the station and forcing us onto trains.

It's not exactly Millwall vs West Ham is it?
  • Get the train back to London Bridge and then from London bridge to Blackheath....easy.

but the rest of us will....!
  • You could always wait and be one of the very last out of the ground - much more chance of getting through the police line to get to your car then...
  • I'm not certain on this, but someone told me recently that they are no longer legally able to prevent people from the leaving football grounds of their own free will....something to do with unlawful detention.

Since when have football fans have rights? We are all second...third class citzens when attending football matches!
  • well well well i have some decisions to make. My mate who live near the ground said i can park on his drive, but then i dont want to get stuffed onto a train that'll be bollox!

Anyway hillsy sound easy but london i cant doo! once i went there on my own and nearly couldnt get out, had to ring Mortain and he had to virtually come in and get me! took like 15 mins just to get out!

Kept us back for 30 mins last time. We didn't mind too much as we had something to celebrate.

MCS, you should be OK if you go by train to London Bridge. Even if they don't let us out till 6.00 that's still enough time to reach Blackheath by 7.30

  • oh bloody hell i dont know what to do now! Praps i'll meet up with some lifers and follow them!

    thanks for the help chapps
  • MCS, we're likely to be kept back for about 20 i reckon. There will probably be an escort back to the station, but it will be informal and you should be able to do as your please and find your way back to your car. We're also parking on someones drive so the police may be able to control a set of hooligans, but i'll tell you they have zero chance of stopping my missus getting back to her car. FACT.

ok then i am driving and thats it. cant effing wait!
  • if you have a camera phone, take a picture of your car so if there are problems you can show the poleece - might help?

Yes and make sure it is taxed or they will nick you
  • LOL Tav , they may even walk you back to your car & give it the once over check the tyres etc, then when you get in it they'll breathalyze ya.
  • Last time they cherry picked people to go in an escort , you'll be fine with that beard mate

Why an escort? Surely a Renault Espace would have been more appropriate
  • I've got to get back to Balham after the match, so I really hope the police aren't really arsey about the trains
