Bryan Habana - SA - Greatest try ever?

For me the greatest try ever was scored by Gareth Edwards in 1973 for The Barbarians against The All Blacks.

Habana does look some player though.

Never in a million years - good score, skill, pace, but a hell of a lot of luck. Seen plenty of returned kick trys like that when the opposition have had to be beaten off rather than just beaten for pace.

Certainly Edwards back in 1973 is in my top five.

should have gone between the posts.

How did the ref not spot TWO blatent hand balls and the fact that it should have been a goal kick not a goal.

Either the officials in South Africa are even worse than here or this post should be in "other sports"

And if you watch it again, notice how he almost knocks on just before he dives over....

    Different type of try.

Edward's was a team try. Habana's was all about speed and power. Shows the difference in how the game has changed in the past 30yrs
