driving 3rd party on someone elses car

my advice is don't do it, you have next to no cover and if someone runs into you, or vice versa you are screwed - happened to me saturday night.

    they wanted £150 to do that..
  • Basic legal liability only is the cover provided free, you are covered under your own policy.

    Who was at fault for the accident?

    the other person, but proving that or geting her to admit it is the tricky part, my legal cover is helpful though and they are pursuing this.

    I understand that even if you park the car somewhere, until the insured fully comp person drives it again it isnt insured - not sure if this is true though.

  • 1/ agreed, trouble also could be that it might also come down to being a claim where both parties are held responsible- no one wins except the insurance company where 2 sets of NCD are effected

    2/ I guess technically this would be correct.
